I know that the multiplayer of Firefight isn't really consistent with the actual story of Halo, but isn't having Sgt. Johnson fighting in these fights a bit contradictory? At the time of these events he was actually present on Delta Halo and en route to Earth.

Your thoughts, please.

It's just a extra content for the game. Bungie just wants people to have fun playing the game.

It's a -Blam!- game!

You tell yourself that multiplayer isn't canon so you answered yourself.

And Johnson is badass,.

Don't you think the covenant has something better to do then?

-I know what you're thinking, and it's crazy.
-But... what if monkeys really could fly?

Just a treat for the fans, nothing to be taken seriously.

Bam! Said the lady.

Firefight could be set before halo 2 or during halo 3 we have no way of knowing

I wasn't arguing anything. I was just proposing a question to see what people thought. No need for getting upset. Dawg.

Also, Firefight most definately takes place after the New Mombasa Slip Space Event so it is definately within the timeframe of Halo 2 at the very least.
