Will we lose the right to play as Elites in Multiplayer?
I realise that multiplayer is non-canon so the story shouldn't effect it but you never know.

I suppose this thread has been made before but typing "Elite" seemed to break the search bar and only came up with alot of people complaining about Elites in SWAT.

To make an awesome game last longer? Hell no, Elites are going to return, maybe even *gasp* Brutes!

I doubt Brutes but Bungie are full of suprises

Die? Haven't you heard? Spartans never die.

I think it be great if there were brutes in Multiplayer. It'd be kinda difficult, though, because the brutes have that frenzy they go into. But if you allowed brutes to use a frenzy, elites to use camo, and the spartans to use their...flashlights. Dang, I thought that might balance out.

It would just be wrong if they allowed us to use brutes with out frenzy though.

my guess is that the multiplayer will be class related like a battlefield type thing, but that is my guess, also, that would work for a firefight mode, with covenant and UNSC classes fighting each other.

ODST RULES!!!!! I SERIOUSLY CAN'T WAIT AT ALL!!!!!!!!! ODST FTW!!

I think in firefight mode they should use flood instead of Covenent

Or they can have power armor, and just make it act like sheilds. That part wouldn't be hard.

Well in Frenzy your defense could be alot weaker than usual, making it fair. MIRITE?!

But will Elites have all of the armor permutations found in Halo 3? This is a bit earlier in time and who knows what armor they had.

get out of here stalker

What about:
Brute Frenzy
Elite Camo
Spartan Overshield
Lose the flashlight, buddy!

For every action, there is an equal and opposite airstrike.

The Elites depicted in Halo 3 have only recently had access to armour previously banned under Covenant law. The armour in question is Ascetic (the Elite version of the secret police combined with monks, they had to hide away) and quite possibly the Commandos and even the Assault armours as they had technology that may give the Elites a big advantage come a civil war.

This leaves only the Combat and Flight permuatations (Assault possibly too, as it would be ideal for Ranger Elites in Halo 2 both for them and for the canon). Bungie may come up with new permutations that would suit the time perirod of the Glassing of Reach, maybes the Honour Guard outfit (albeit it'll be as useful as the Katana and a million times more visible). They may also confirm that the alternate Halo CE Elite helmet exists and wasn't retconned.

So if Elites were included in Reach multiplayer they could possibly end up with even less permutations than Spartans... of course Spartan tech could be regressed as well... looks like we'll just have to wait for more information.
