We need balanced weapons not something that gives any newb the power to kill anyone, anytime.
My suggestions-
1.Flamethrower-range 20m with capability of starting minor fires that burn for 3 to 4 seconds, damage-4per second. Damage value is based on 1=1non-charged shot from plasma pistol. Drawback to bring balance, all flamethower devices are highly combustible, in other words if the fuel cell for the flamethrower is hit, you go BOOM, also high-rate of ammo consumption.
2. Silenced pistol/smg-range 20meters less than Pistol from Halo 1, damage equal to original pistol. Drawback slower rate of fire, no scope ability, requires both hands to fire.
3. Pursuit Deterrant Munition-(a mine stupid) same effect as fragmentation grenade, ammo limit 2, proximity detonated. Drawback only 2 mines per character may placed on any multi-player board.
4. Shotgun- I know this is already in the game, however only the buckshot ammo is used. A sabot or slug round would inherently do more damage at longer ranges. The drawbacks limited range (same as pistol in Halo), much slower rate of fire due to massive kickback.(anyone who has ever fired a buckshot round from a 12gauge then fired a sabot or slug round knows the massive difference in kickback), no scope.
