Reach MMO. Here's to hoping.
And the people that believe "the hardcore playlists would be more popular if the rules were strictly MLG" can come off it, now. If you're not willing to support something close to your own setup, there's no reason for us to believe that cloning our own lists and stripping the variety down will attract more people. -- Shishka, Bungie.net

I don't think any organism should be able to take tons of bullets without dying. If you just want them to be stronger/faster that is one thing, but they shouldn't be able to take 20+ bullets from futuristic weapons.
That is just silly.
How do you know an organism isn't capable of being incredibly resilient? Granted Tartarus was a bit ridiculous, but if a brute, drinol, hunter, or any other "super" organism was able to take a ton of bullets/projectiles, and live to keep fighting, then why isn't it possible?
I guess it is a sci-fi game, but from the looks of things the alien life is fairly similar in structure to any animal you would find on earth. Flesh, bones, muscle tissue. On top of that there are several weak spots that unless you are getting super sci-fi will take down any organism; eyes, head, heart, knee caps, that special area, etc.
These are futuristic guns thousands of years in the future, if you hit an organism in the sweet spots it should go down pretty easily.
I think if you are going to make units harder to kill it should be done by increasing their armor or making their shields harder to take down. But once you are hitting meat, IMO it shouldn't take too many shots.
