Apparently your reading comprehension is not all there, I didn't say that it necessarily irritates me. It's just annoying.
*Head explodes*
Go ahead, flame me because I said the unholy word.
Gameplay
Halo: Reach's multiplayer will probably be class-based. Why?
One of the reasons is that we have the multiplayer demo of Reach. Now why would we have a demo? Bungie is releasing this multiplayer demo because they want to test a new multiplayer. Bungie did this with Halo 3 as they included equipment and other weapons. We can all tell that Halo 3's multiplayer is different from Halo 2's. Now Halo: Reach's multiplayer will be different than Halo 3's. Sorry, fanboys, but you can't keep Bungie from not changing.
Another reason is the banner at the top of the page. There are 5 different human-like forms. This either represents a squad-based or class-based game. The game might be squad-based for the singleplayer game and class-based for the multiplayer portion. This is a little similar to Ghost Recon. And if my memory doesn't fail me, Bungie hired a member of the Ghost Recon team a while back. Coincidence?
Camping
All you fanboys have said that having a class-based game will induce camping. How wrong you are.... We all know that Halo 3 has a lot of camping. For example: the purple lifts on Construct. Someone can just camp one lift with the sword and the other with power drain/ sniper. The sniper would have someone guarding him, of course, making it practically impossible to get these two spots. That leaves one last person; that last person would be guarding the lobby. If it's a 3v3, then no one needs to guard the lobby. Most people won't crouch while climbing the supports and going up the ramp into lobby. They're too lazy to crouch because it's slow, and they're idiots. Because of this, a person in either lift can spot them on their radar and plan their attack. That is just one mere example of camping in Halo 3.
What class-based multiplayer does is reduce camping. The only reason you fanboys are saying it would make camping a much more common practice is because that's what you, yes you, would do. I'm pretty sure when I'm playing CoD4 I'm running around with my silenced MP5 or my G36C or my G3 or my M4 Carbine. When I play Bad Company, I'm running around with the Assault or Specialist class. When I play Battlefield 1943, I'm running around with the Machine gun or I'm in a vehicle. When I play TF2, I play as a Spy or Scout. Any of these classes would hardly get kills just camping. I know I don't represent all the people who play these games, but a hell of a lot of people do the exact same. Since you fanboys like to compare Halo and CoD4 so much, I will do so, too.
Halo vs. CoD4
I have recently started playing CoD4, and I must say that it's actually quite fun and doesn't get boring. CoD4 is so balanced that camping is even fatal. When a sniper shoots, he shows up on your radar thus compromising his position. You can call in a UAV and instantly know where the sniper is. All you fanboys are like, "BUT THE SNIPERS WILL CAMP!!!" *facepalm* That's the main point of being a sniper, you ignorant fanboys. You don't run around trying to snipe in any game because it is merely harder. It's also balanced because when calling in an airstrike, all you have to do is get inside a building or get under something to protect yourself. With a helicopter, just hit it once with an RPG and a few more bullets, and it's coming down. This brings another aspect into gameplay: Map Control.
P.S. I am playing CoD4 right now, so please don't make that as your pitiful comeback.
Map Control
In Halo, it doesn't matter if you have map control or not, you can still lose. Halo is only about weapon control and camping with said power weapons. When bringing in class-based gameplay, you have to have map control. No more running around separately trying to kill as many people before you lose. Map control brings in a whole new aspect of gameplay. But Halo could do something that no other class-based game has done. Halo: Reach could have BOTH map control and weapon control. The maps could have weapons placed and have you spawn with a class. Like you could be an assault class while your teammate could be a sniper. Even though you both are different classes, both of you would still have to fight over power weapons. This is different, and it would make Halo a one-of-a-kind (please PM me if any other game has done this).
