Some can come away from reading "War and Peace" thinking it a simple adventure story, while others can read the ingredients on a gum wrapper and unlock the secrets of the universe.

Against if the final game would end up like Halo 1.

For if the gameplay now is shaping up like Halo 2/3. It was broken. I would rather instead of butcher the Halo formula even more, they just scrap it and move on to Classes.

Cheehwawa, Reach will not end up like Halo one. Seriously. It won't. Though, I would prefer more themes from Halo one, such as the removal of dual wielding for some weapons wo give other weapons more use.

Classes are also not a good idea. A class based game would splice up Halo's multiplayer and take out a lot of the customization and niches we've come to know and love with the Halo series. What would happen to all of the zany forge gametypes that we've been playing over the last two years, on all of those crazy maps? People should think about what makes Halo 3 so much fun before they start wanting the gameplay to be streamlined into classes.

You say "Reach will not end up like Halo one" as if you know exactly what Bungie is thinking, when nobody except for the game's developers know a thing about the gameplay.

That is exactly what being like Halo 1 means... Halo 2 was like Halo 2 because it was basically Halo 2.5, with some new evolution. What I want Reach to be is not Halo 3.5, but Halo 1.5.

Basically the same as Halo 1, but with boarding, regenerating health, melee combos, equipment, more vehicles, more weapons, and better graphics/physics.

Classes are also not a good idea. A class based game would splice up Halo's multiplayer and take out a lot of the customization and niches we've come to know and love with the Halo series. What would happen to all of the zany forge gametypes that we've been playing over the last two years, on all of those crazy maps? People should think about what makes Halo 3 so much fun before they start wanting the gameplay to be streamlined into classes.I have a simple solution for this... in custom games you could limit which classes may spawn, and could cut it down to just one class (the average jack of all trades, with stats like the Chief in the Halo trilogy).

Okay, you got me! I don't know exactly what Bungie is thinking. But I know for a fact that Bungie's next installment in the series will not end up like Halo one - look at the progression of the series. Dual wielding was added in Halo 2, and equipment, forge, and some more crazy customization and a slew of weapons and changes were added to Halo 3, on top of dual wielding.

Reach will probably have more weapons, vehicles, and customization on top of what was in Halo 3, though I would like to see dual wielding rolled back to give some of the weapons that were staples in the first game another chance. The game won't be like Halo one, but it will hopefully share some themes from that game.

Vancouver BC, Canada.

Classes don't belong in a Halo game. It would feel weird.

Halo 3 wasn't broken and neither was halo 2. But i think what your talking about is not being halo 1 and no halo 2 and halo 3 were not like halo 1. However its not broken at all lol.
