~RoKKeR~

Hey guys, so I was reading about the new Xbox LIVE Dashboard Update tomorrow, and I was very excited about the new "Games on Demand" feature. "Enjoy the convenience of finding and buying new games right from the comfort of your own living room. Download a wide selection of full Xbox 360 games over Xbox LIVE."

Now, this got me really excited and that I would be able to by full Xbox 360 games right from my couch, instead of running all around town trying to find a game I am looking for. So, here is my question:

Do you think that new release games like ODST will be available instantly on the Xbox 360 Marketplace for purchase? Or, will they wait a week to put brand new titles on the Marketplace?

If you can purchase directly off the Dashboard right after release, then we can all have our own little midnight release part!

Thoughts?

I heard somewhere that it is rumored that you can buy Halo 2 and possibly Halo 3: ODST.

You will be able to buy almost every game released for the Xbox 360 directly, so my question is what they will do with new release titles. Will they put it out immediately? I don't know...

"Things are never as they seem..."

I was thinking about that.... but then, the only games going on games on demand are going for about $20. Plus, how are you downloading both discs? Doesn't seem likely, and the fact that they haven't said whether they're going to simultaneously release games on demand and on retail.

ODST has been confirmed as one of the first games to be released in stores AND on Games On Demand, at the same time :) i'm still going to get the disc (and controller) so i have a physical resemblance of what ODST "is" to me but it's good news for some people...Think about it: you need to go to work/school but want to play ODST when you get back...Predicament...Not any more! Set your 360 to do background downloads, purchase ODST on Games on Demand before you leave home in the morning, your 360 downloads ODST whilst your out and then turns itself off as the download finishes. You get home to ODST and everyone's happy :D

QFT. ODST has been confirmed for release on Games on Demand alongside the actual release (i.e. 22/09/09)

XBL Ambassador, Graphic Designer, Maker of Halo panoramas and full 360 degree views. Halo Panoramas

The GoD right now are some good games. Not much to choose from, but still good. I already purchased a R/C Warthog for my Avatar. Oh, and a Halo 3 shirt...

Here's the problem. New game prices are going to be upwards of 6000Microsoft points.

That's about $100 U.S.

That's no good.

Also, if you buy ODST online you don't get the second disk. Which means NO longshore/heritic/citadel

Dude I don't care and my grammer is perfect.I used "Big", as you recall it to mak is specific."to not do...",is incorrect beause "do" is present tense/perfect(or future) when it was a past tense.

I heard that it's more for classics, platinum edition, etc. Basically xbox originals, but with 360 games as well.

Member of the First Accounters group. A group for people still on their first accounts.

I have the preview update and the games cost actual money, not microsoft points. Also, the current games are not new releases, they are the classic platinum edition games.
