I don't understand why so many people want Reach to support more than 16 players in a match. Currently, Bungie doesn't even offer more than 12 in matchmaking. Big Team Battle was fun but at least for me it always lagged way too much. Also 8v8 was always just pure chaos; image how 12v12 or 16v16 would be (not to mention there's no way Xbox Live's network could handle that). Personally, I think 4v4 is the maximum players needed for a fun, competitive, lag free match.

Halo has a bad habit of lagging. For some reason, Bungie couldn't make the game lag less, but hopefully they can fix it in Reach. Or they could just do the smart thing and buy dedicated servers with all of the money they have.

i hope it does has really big teams, like 16 a team? that would be awsome, but bungie would need time to sort out the matchmaking so it doesn't lagg as much.

I hunt for the Prophet of Contentment, the San 'Shyumm that murdered my son, and stole his birthright, his Energy Sword. They call our species Heretics. They claim to all that our tongues sting, our words a vile poison that feeds on the unworthy. I have seen the true face of Heresy. The head of a gallant warrior lay on the ground. His neck scorched and blistered, scarred by his own blade. I shall retrieve the weapon, and drive it through that bastard's heart! Punishment for his sins is nigh.

Halo has a better net code than alot of other games, maybe not better than CoD, but much better than GoW.

Also, to all of you who complain about lag, your connections just suck, Im on a Cable connection, and I nearly NEVER lag.

And you probably spend a lot more money on internet service than I do. The reason you don't lag is because you are most likely host for the majority of the games, which makes Halo easy as hell.

Bigger is not better. If the game was 2v2 and fun I'd be all over it. Although stop with the ignorant "Xbox Live can't support that many people" bull-blam!-, ever heard of dedicated servers?

i NEVER complain about lag. Halo has by far the best connection on Xbox live. (or PS Network). but... BTB lags for everyone don't lie. i never understand those people who say "HOST HOST" I cant ever tell. (but this is a separate subject.)

I hate lag. Most people who say they don't lag lie. Almost every game I can feel lag, even if it is very small. Host is amazing in swat though.

Xbox Live has its own network. it will never have "Dedicated" servers specific for one game. get over it. unless you want to purpose paying a subscription fee for each individual game you play.

Games on the PS3 can do it, so I bet that Bungie could do it if they wanted to.

Im actually not lying, on BtB I have a perfect green connection 95% of the time.

Would be cool for massive custom games, but I dont see it ever happening due to lag.
