instead of new races, just new classes of each races.

Elite Kaidon's!

  • 08.11.2009 1:38 PM PDT

I dont know if they`re going to be any new alien races in this one but if they make a halo 4 then the humans could discover a new alien race after they rebuilt earth and reawake master chief and that would make a cool game

By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe.

I'd like to fight the Sangheili Councillors and maybe have a glimpse or hint at what the Sharquoi actually are...
Drinols would be awesome to fight, perhaps we'll see Grunt Deacons too.

Not my fault, he shot himself. (Micheal J. Caboose)

I don't see how they're going to add new races, seeing as how Reach is before all the other Halo games. If they do add a new one though it will probably be the Engineer, since Engineers were in the book.

  • 08.11.2009 2:59 PM PDT

Hmmmm, good point, but it would be cool to see newer version of Hunters, like Hunter Commanders, a Hunter of the same size, just has like Gold Plating and a enhanced Fuel Rod, but all ideas so far are really cool.

  • 08.11.2009 3:42 PM PDT

They'll probably keep the old ones, since this may be a prequel.

I doubt they will add any new races considering its a prequel and it would disrupt most if the story line of Halo.
However I do hope they add in the Flood Juggernaut.

It IS a sequel, don't worry about it, but just because it is a sequel doesn't mean they can't introduce new troops into the game, regardless of the fact it was made by Ensemble, Halo Wars introduced a vast amount of new units, you never know.

they will probably make at least two new races and just have them all be on reach as it gets glassed and end up going extinct

It's a PREQUEL.Not a SEQUEL.
And Yes adding in new units that are not referenced will disrupt the story line.
So what if Halo Wars added new units none of it is considered cannon.

This apple is brown, and rotten. This orange on the other hand, is in relatively average shape. So the orange is definitely the preferable option.
----------You can't compare apples and oranges. You're so dumb.

I wouldn't mind Drinols, and Hunter variants. The former was a enemy that almost made it into
Halo 2. It was fully textured and everything. The latter makes sense, I mean, the scarabs in Halo 3 are essentially just that, hunter variants. The Hunter exoskeleton is essentially a vehicle of sorts for the worms that occupy it. So variants of the exoskeleton are possible.

The Drinol did seem pretty cool and I always wondered how big the Lekgolo could make themselves without and with an exoskeleton.
The Flood Juggernaut was also fully textured and everything....However it just didn't make the cut.I don't think it has an attacking animation either but it looks awesome.

In VERY few ways is Halo Wars considered cannon.

Do I have to dig up quotes? Its fully canon. Any thing in Halo Wars that appears to conflict, either doesn't, or will be fixed by new canon fiction in the future.

The Flood for example, we know they survived on the Halos. But that doesn't mean thats the only place they survived. We know they survived on the research facility, on threshold (Halo 2). They could of easily hybernated on a Forerunner shield world. And reawakened when the Covenant came stooping around.

The only thing I can find that conflicts, is six spartan IIs exist in Halo Wars. And that causes a little bit of inconsistency with the Spartan IIs. But there were already inconsistencies with the number of Spartan IIs. Both FoR, and First strike state 30 spartans were at Reach, and three were elsewhere. Which would mean, none of the 33 spartan IIs ever died before the battle of reach. But that wouldn't make sense. So theres probably already a canonical explanation, that would explain that, along side the inconsistency in the novels. I think Halo: Reach might help to explain this inconsistency.
