Lets face it :

The ragdoll physics in halo 3 suck. They are chucky, lame, and un-satisfying.
When you blow up a player with a grenade, the same boring animations play out.
When ever you kill someone, there's a very low chance they will turn into a ragdoll, but a boring animation that has been used in every halo game.

So that's why think the halo death system should rely totally on ragdoll physics. No pre-rendered animations WHAT SO EVER .

And not the boring ragdolls from halo 3, but a much better, realistic system.

The best example is the ragdoll system from GTA IV , located here.

Euphoria ragdolls

If GTA can do it without any lag, then halo 3 can!

They probably will. You probably don't remember, but ages ago after Halo 3 came out there was a weekly updates with pictures of Johnson being fired out of a cannon into a giant Pach1nko machine (used a 1 because if I use an i the system -blam!-s it out). They said they were testing hardware for upcoming games. What upcoming game could be in the prototyping stage at that time I wonder?

Finally! Somebody who shares my ideas exactly! Ragdolls in Halo 3 SUCK! They could at least use the Unreal Engine used in games like Unreal Tournament 3, or Rainbow 6 Vegas 2 so that the bodies actually move around together instead of falling on top of each other and looking like one screwed up body. If nothing else works, at least the physics from games like Left 4 Dead so that the bodies actually respond to long falls instead of just locking up (which is what happens if you fall for more than about 5-7 seconds in Halo 3).

I figure... MC is a 2 ton metal plated cyborg... when he t-bags a dinosaurs face... his head should get implanted in the dirt... at which point grenades can be used to make the body bounce back and forth. oh yeh... with blood... like lots of blood... like halo CE amounts of blood. :D

GTA IV and Rainbow Six Vegas 1 and 2 have the best physics for when you die IMO.

Hi I'm RT and I like to argue!

Honestly, who cares? I'd much rather they spend their time improving things that actually affect gameplay.

that is what i thought would be cool its to boring in H3.

One does not simply walk into Halo.

I'd like better death animations altogether. Upgrading the ragdoll system seems to be a good idea. This game had no ragdoll physics, but some of the best death animations I've ever seen. <3 SOF2.
This video also showcases more death animations.

Halo needs better death animations and better ragdolls, then it would be more enjoyable in the gaming experience.

I'd much rather have a better netcode that was capable of selecting a good host and reducing lag in 8v8 matches. It is impossible to enjoy any death animation when you are trying to figure out exactly why that animation is playing. :-/

Remember in Halo 1 that if you were killed by a headshot, your body did a 180 degree twist? That needs to be in Reach.

That was the one good death animation that they had in all of the Halo games, otherwise, there was too much focus on ragdolls rather than finding a nice blend of both.

But bungie really needs better tech in the game.
Graphics, AI, physics, we all want a new halo experience.

GTA did lag, the framerate would drop quickly. You could be driving fine, but as soon as you collided with another car you could notice the framerate drop.

Halo would be cool with the Euphoria and Endorphin physics. When a Spartan gets thrown by a Brute or something he doesn't just die, he actually tries to stay alive.
