In one of the E3 interviews, Joe Staten hinted at methods of transport we haven't seen before. One of the methods we're now considering are the garbage trucks. In the recent ViDoc, Nathan Fillian (Buck) states that "we could commandeer the city's garabe trucks if we needed."
Now, a lot of people think we won't be able to use them, but I've spotted something in the ViDoc that may be a key to the argument.
This image shows a truck, circled. Could it be a garbage truck? If so, it may actually be useable. Notice the clear windows, and then notice the opaque windows on the Police car near to it. Maybe the clear windows suggest that the vehicle is useable? So far, all useable UNSC vehicles in Halo 3 have had clear windows, and I'm pretty sure no scenery vehicles have them.
This image shows one of the trucks in question destroyed, with no wheels. Now, this may suggest that the vehicle is just scenery, but remember the Mongoose can lose wheels, and so can the 'hog. A Garbage Truck will be weaker than a Warthog, too.
Additionally, the Police cars doo seem to have opaque windows for at least the majority of the time.
However, this image seems to contradict my previous statements. Well, apart from the opaque windows part.
Thoughts?
