It is possible to stick Brute Hero's, as long as the sticky hits there kneecaps/ elbows it will stick (although you wont get the medal for killing them this way, a point-blank sticky does a lot of damage)

Does anyone know if there are any map specific guides?

Obviously, while it isn't recommended to use power weapons against weaker opponents like grunts and jackals, I have found that on Alpha Site, due to it's small area, there are often plenty of opportunities when using power weapons on weaker opponents potentially be beneficial, or have no negative affect anyway.

Due to a seeming abundance of Fuel Rod Guns, wielded primarily by Spec-Ops Grunts, along with Brute Chieftains, often you can afford to use some ammo to kill a few opponents, and collect more ammo from dropped Fuel Rods to restock your ammo anyway.

However, for using power weapons in general, trying to use them on a maximum number of opponents in one shot will obviously yield the greatest advantage. For example, if you have a Sniper Rifle, and there's several brutes grouped up, try to take your shot only when there are at least two Brutes lined up in your line of fire, to inflict higher amounts of damage at no extra cost to yourself. There are times when I have found myself using power weapons to kill individual enemies, even weak ones, which is overall just a waste. After all, if a weaker weapon can be as effective with the same number of shots, use the weaker weapon.

This needs to be added to the Engineer section.

Engineers
Their armor and shielding prevents most weapons from being at all effective. The two most quick and effective weapons against them are the Plasma Pistol and "sticky" grenades.

The Plasma Pistol is preferable because you simply need to hold down the trigger, wait for your lock confirmation, and fire. The EMP pulse from a single overcharge will cause the explosives mounted to the Engineer to go off, killing it and possibly a few covenant or even you if you're not careful.

"Sticky" grenades will also take out Engineers in one go, but they are only advised if you are within about 20 feet of your target. Since ODSTs aren't capable of the "baseball pitch" grenade toss of a Spartan, when you throw a grenade it has a considerable amount of lob to it, so make sure you place your firearm's crosshair UNDERNEATH the Engineer. Don't forget to take into account if it is moving or not.

I've found Needlers can also be very handy for taking out Engineers, provided there's enough needles to cause an explosion.

I think you should add that on the reasonably low light levels, if your not already using VISR when Brute stalkers come (or as i like to call them, invisibrutes) you should turn it on, because it makes them 10x easier to see.

Also, choppers are perfect for taking out wraiths, there is a certain range where you are too far away to have the gunner shoot you, but the wraith wont shoot mortars. Just sit there and shoot at it (generally this tactic only works if you ahve killed the majority of enemies before you begin it)

If you have a chopper and need to kill invisibrutes, take them on headon because if they firebomb the chopper and not you, you take no damage.

I will add that the mauler is oddly a good weapon for drones, on shot will kill one from close to 40% (if medium range is 50%)

You can stick the Cheiftan's fuel rod too, I've done that before. The ones with fuel rod guns? They don't have invincibility.

My advice for Crater (Night) is as follows:
1. Keep your VISR on!!!!! Stalkers at night without VISR ain't fun.
2. Don't detach the turret in the first round. Before the catch skull is activated, multi-kills against Drones are painfully easy, as long as you run for cover if your stamina's low.
3. KILL THE ENGINEERS! If you're on Co-op, make sure someone's always on hand to kill Engineers. Overcharged PPs work a treat. Make sure you kill the Engineers first, especially in Drone waves.
4. If you're on solo, you'll do fine with just four weapons; Plasma Pistol, Automag, SMG (for Drones/Hunters in particular) and grenades. I don't use power weapons.
5. On Co-op, don't hog the power weapons. On a four-player team, get one player to get the rockets, and another to get the sniper. Then give them a backup weapon (Automag, Carbine, SMG ect.). Then the other players can grab a Fuel Rod gun or a Hammer later if they want. But make sure someone keeps a Plasma Pistol, this is invaluable against Engineers and even Chieftains, if you follow it up with half a clip of Automag ammo towards their helmet.

Halo CE: Campaign Complete - Normal
Halo 2: Campaign Complete - Normal
Halo 3: Campaign Complete - Legendary; Rank 31; 1750/ 1750 G
Halo ODST: Campaign Complete - Legendary; 1.4M; 1000/ 1000 G
Reach Beta: Warrant Officer Grade 2

For Engineers-a simple plasma pistol overcharge shot will set off the bomb and kill the engineer. This is also helpful when going for the achievement Naughty Naughty, but that's a different story.

Vell mudda SICK dred!

since the engineers are soo slow, ive found the needler being the fastest and easiest way to kill an engineer.

If only people read my threads....

If possible, don't destroy these vehicles. They will come in very handy if you can actually use them (unconfirmed as of yet).

Lost Platoon+choppers=10 million + points

Killing time, killng people

My tactic against hammer cheiftans is to run towards them with a hammer, jump as they do their horizontal swing as they duck, im outside of damage range but it boosts me over it, then hammer it in the back.

when catch is on, you can get brutes and grunts to kill each other if you are a good dodger.

Because aliens.

Chieftains aren't that hard. If you take down their shields, you can manage to shoot of their helmet and headshot them if you are quick enough.

And so here at the end of my life, I do once again betray a former master. The path ahead is fraught with peril. But I will do all I can to keep it stable - keep you safe. I'm not so foolish to think this will absolve me of my sins. One life hardly balances billions.

I would like to add some strategies that I use:

Brutes: When up close and personal, the brutes will try to melee you. Strafe to the side of this hit, and move behind them, and then it just takes a simple melee to kill them.

Engineers: One over charged plasma pistol shot will destroy these foes, two on the higher difficulties.

OP - You're a dumbass with the reading comprehension skills of a second grader.

Can someone tell me what's wrong with these two, this made me LOL hard.

You don't need to add ALL that in for the Engineers. Jut shoot them once with an overcharged PP shot and they'll fall fast.

Who is this crazy darkpig guy anyway?

Always use vehicles in cover, you don't want grunts shooting you from all sides.
