But there's no sense crying over every mistake.
You just keep on trying till you run out of cake.
And the Science gets done.
And you make a neat gun.
For the people who are still alive.

Nice work! Thread saved!

I know another way to kill hunters, just shoot spikers at their back, it stuns them. Also one rocket at their feet works great. With drones if their in a big pack and close to the ground, you can spam like plasmas and spikes underneath them, it works well.

I would suggest using the auto mag on grunts heads, because its so quick and efficient, even if it uses up ammo because grunts are grenade chucking machines with Catch on.

Also with the Brute Chieftains with the hammer, when they do their regular attack, where they take a small jump and then swing their hammer, you can just sidestep its attack and easily assassinate them, even if they have invincibility activated.

even when a chieftain has his invincibility equipement on you can hit him in the back and he will still die i do this on halo 3 all the time.
this is easiest when he has the grav hammer.

Excellent guide. But...I thought everyone knew that already. Well at least I did. Never charge a chieftain, stay away from hunters, etc...

It's common sense. Right?

Anyways, good job!
You'd think everyone knew, but trust me, I've seen so many cases of "oh look, let me see if I can melee this Hunter!"

=P

I've melee'd a Hunter, it's not that bad. on The Covenent, Heroic, I melee'd the 2 hunters in the 2nd tower to death, one by one.

Wraiths, like you said, no go. Kill the gunner, nice headshot. The back is the best place to board if you are that..... crazy or stupid enough to get that close, seeing as I have not played firefight I don't know if th wraiths respawn quick or like a certain amount of time, but if it lasts until the next round, I suggest at the end of the wave leave a grunt, someone distract him, and snipe the gunners, after, get close enough to board or throw a spike grenade at the back plate, if you were lucky enough to get the back plate, then throw another or if a teammate is close enough melee the back, there really isn't much hope though, there are two of them, if somehow you manage to get the second to destroy the fiirst, attack the second, like no tommorow, if you feel up to it.

I recomend getting rid of them, but then I don't. It is dangerous, but it mmay be worth the risk especially in the later waves, and being bombarded does not make it any better.

But if you are being chased by a vehicle, i highly reccomend using spike grenades if you have them, they are the best thing to take out vehicles, if you have only small arms.

I have seen many guys being chased, had a perfect chance to throw the spike grenades, but he tried, instead to spartan laser a ghost, he had no shields, it was close behind, and it was boosting it's speed he could have thrown a spike grenade, and jumped he'd be fine.

NEVER waste ROCKETS!!

Seriously, especially on firefight.

When a Phantom arrives to drop off enemies, remember to take out the gunner as quickly as possible. From long range if possible.

has the most casualties in peacetime

tip#1 when faced with gaunle jackals use an auto mag to shoot the hand that is showing this will make them flich then either pull an smg and spray them or shot thier head and be doone with it.

tip#2 take out grunts first this one may sound strange but there's a reason when you have that prfect shot on a cheiftain it gets ruined by that grunts one shot then you get hammered.

tip# 3 alaways try to contain enemys that advance so your not caught up trying push back hundreds of brutes

Not sure if this'll hold in Firefight, but in halo 3 it's easy to pop a chieftain off without even using the invincibility. If all 4 players concentrate their fire on the chief's head his helmet will fall off fast, which leaves him open to a one headshot kill. So, you could save your automag for the chieftain round, call out which guy to focus on, and have at it.

You've got the riskier way too of getting the chief to charge player A, and having player B assassinate him as he runs by chasing player A. The problem in this is if the chieftain decides to switch targets. Then you're screwed.
