Awesome idea, but why would this need to have it's own spot on the Main Menu. All it is is a combination of Team Slayer and Assault with a few other changes. And as for the perfect map thing, it could be its own map that will work with any gametype, and the special gametype could work on any map, but they are recommended to be used with each other. There's no reason why they couldn't be a normal map & gametype.


lol that was just someone being over ecstatic, sure its worthy, but no...it belongs in normal MP, as a new gametype...possibly "Cruiser Assault"

i hope nobody said this already...because im not going to read all 8000 some post...but first off i voted yes...but it would be cool if the points you get were like the credits in the beta...and if you used your in-game credits you could call in airstrikes, airdrops, weapondrops,etc. but if you didnt use your in-game credits then the rest goes to your career credits to spend on helmets and stuff...so you make a tough choice...get more money or invest in airdrops that will help your team win...and the team that wins gets a huge match bonus of credits...MAC BLAST INCOMING...BOOM!

I like this idea, but i don't think buying guns is worth it since they are on the map maybe for the pelican drop ship. if it didn't make it into the game, the game type can be the update but you will actually have to buy the game mode to play it, and it can be a lot of memmory but that's okay. I would love to see this in Halo: Reach.

Let's play some custom games!

All of these ideas so far are pretty tempting and would make an amazing game mode if Bungie had ever decided to imput it as an addition. My idea goes along with the weapons store idea. A problem I could possibly see with it is where people just earn as many points as they can as fast as they can buy the sniper and the map just ends up with snipers on every corner. Instead I think a better idea would be to have each player have a personal weapons locker. When a player goes to the store to buy a Shotgun for example, instead of it being infinite how about a bundle, maybe three in a pack. Same goes for SMG's, Magnums and the other lot, except each one would have certain amounts in a pack based on their level of power i.e. Rocket Launcher-1, SMG-5. Another idea that could go well with this is ammunition. Ammunition for your weapons comes standard, but how about buying more at the store and putting it in your locker for safe keeping. This way if a standard Rocket Launcher came with only two rockets maybe if you have enough points you could buy a few more. If you wanted to take a risk by taking all of the ammunition for your Rocket launcher except for two rockets you can do that just as long as you don't get mad if you lose all of your rockets when you HEV gets shot down. Definetley would make a cool game mode and if Bungie ever made it, kudos to the person who came up with this idea.

but if bungie does listen to the feed back and make the setting and map...they will have to make it a DLC package and its not going to make the main menu...its just going to be a multiplayer setting...and if they do agree to this we are going to have to make some sacrifices...like instead of HEVs we could have pelican drops to keep the map simple...i like the point system but the weapon shop sounds like a rocket spree so i think loadouts are good enough...but maybe if you get enough points you can buy a weapondrop(and then accidently get a kill by droping a weapon crate on some one)...and the player limit isnt going to be 20v20...maybe 16v16 if that...the reason why i say 16v16 is becuase it fits with there measurements in a way...a regular invasion match or a full custom match would have 16 players...so double there max would be easier for them than a hole new max...if you want this to happen you got to see it from bungies view...what are they going to have to go through to make us happy...:)

it would be cool if your on the covenant side you could drop a shade turret down and just set up a camp with some cov. barricades...and vis versa for the UNSC...

This Game mode would be amazing but I think it should just pair you up with people you have a good conection with so everyone can play. Overall I think Halo Reach will be the best game on the market but this gamemode will make it 10 times better. Finally the gamemode should be playable on a few maps so it doesn't get reapedative. Great Idea anyway

I think it would be cool if you start off in a UNSC base and you actually have to get in a pelican. (I dont think twenty could fit in 1 pelican. I think 2 pelicans)

there is a problem with unsc vs covenant because the elites run faster basicly they arn't equal you would be giving one side an advantage maybe instead of a 2v2 assult have spartans or covenant (you decide whats best) try and plant a bomb and the other side has to try and stop you from 1stly getting 200 kills within like 20 minutes-30 minutes and 2ndly defuse your bomb (set a max like 1 or 2) i know this is kinda like invasion but you should also get more time like 5 min.

I like the idea it seems to involve a lot of other game modes. The only thing I would change though is that you wouldnt buy weapons with points from kills. Someone said that after you get points you unlock an area with more weapons and that's a good idea, but I think it should be like you start off with just a magnum and sprint loadout, once your team gets 50 kills now you have access to loadouts with dmr's and ar's and holograms. at 100 you get access to snipers and focus rifles and cammo or drop shields. And at 150 you get rockets shotguns needle rifles grenade laucnhers etc. and jet packs or armor lock. so it progresses for your team as you get kills like invasion and more sections of th emap can open up. Also I like the vehicle drop Idea, but there shouldnt be any vehicles already on the map. and it works like guns. At first you can only call in mongooses, at 50 kills you get warthogs, at 100 you get rocket hogs, at 150 you get scorpions. Also there's 1 falcon for each team but it doesnt apear until you unlock tyhe bomb, but when the other them unlocks the bomb you get a missile pod turret so the falcon will have trouble if it gets too close to where the bomb has to placed (or not missile pods necessarily, but something anti air to prevent them from just dropping the bomb off from the falcon right where it needs to go. Also since it's multi objective there shouldnt be a time limit and that way one team doesnt just camp with snipers or something. Also like vehicle drops I think ordanance drops can be called in. So if im sniping and I'm about to run out of ammo I can call in an ordanance drop, and basicly I can pick 2 or three guns my team unlocked already and wait like 5 seconds while a pod drops from the sky with the guns inside, just lik ein firefight but I choose the locatio, and the guns. however it does cost points to use and it leaves a small smoke trail when it enters the atmosphere. so if I'm on this cliff and no one has any idea where I am and Im using the sniper to demolish the other team but then I start running out of ammo and rather than go back and find another sniper I can call in a drop right next to me, but after I call it in a sniper on the other team sees the fireball drop down from the sky and see's a trail of smok eleading ot my location and knows exactly where I am now. so it requires some desicion making (do I want more ammo now and give away my position or go get some and come back but still have my hiding spot?). Also rather than start in a ship I think there should an area where only your team can go and then a base that you can walk into but the other team is able to get in just it might be defended and that's where the bomb has to be placed, and there's a barrier that only your team mates can go through behind your base to prevent spawnkilling if someone gets inside your base and you can choose to spawn in th ebase or in your protected area. and that's what I have to add to th egame.

maybe for this game mode instead of buying guns from kills, you could buy them with your credits and they stay with you for 5 respawns. i think this is good for people that have all the armor and nothing to spend the cR on.

10 cR: Rocket launcher, or fuel rod for covenant.

9 cR: grenade launcher, or plasma launcher for covenant.

8 cR: gravity hammer (for both teams)

7 cR: spartan laser, or energy sword for covenant.

6 cR: Sniper Rifle, or focus rifle for covenant.

5 cR: shotgun, or needler for covenant.

4 cR: assault rifle, or plasma repeater for covenant.

3 cR magnum or plasma pistol for covenant.

2 cR extra grenades: frags for spartans and plasma for elites.

On a related note, ******'s mom has really nice boobs, and it doesn't take much booze or encouragement to get her to let the puppies out of the pen...if you know what I mean...

How about once your bomb blows up someone needs to pilot the some of your team in a pelican/spirit/phantom toward the enemy ship, it could be escorted by sabres/longswords/ serpaphs and another bomb would be planted in the enemy ship, it would blow up and the game would end

A superb idea. I had the same idea actually, except with a few changes. There would be a Hanger, so you could go down in a Falcon. Maybe a Pelican, if Bungie puts it in.... Also, a Phantom, and Scarab. But each team gets ONE, ONE Scarab, And it NEVER respawns once destroyed. Also, a MAC gun that can be fired twice in a game. But only twice. Please don't flame me.
