Thats one of the greatest ideas i ever heard realy good job

i think we can optomize a little thing to make a faster searching duration this gametyp should be an active list game so that means when u are shearching a game and the server finds a macht which is already running to enable to play with the macth which already running and to join this game like in modernwarafare
so when there are both teams let us say one team has 19 and the other T. has 21 players (and yes new maximum 25 to make bigger and more epic battles ) then you are going to the team which has 19 so 20 players and the secure the servers that there is no lagging anymore

thank you for giving us the idea

Well this is a lot to add to a game already made and would be tough to alter Reach as it is. So why not a whole new disc? This way, you can optimize the server for it and not have to worry about any lag due to the other games. Also more space for different maps and maybe either a UNSC vs UNSC or a Covenant v Covenant fight.

This could be called Halo: Reach, the final battle or something like that.
In addition my thought of how the matchmaking process would work:
a. This will either ranked or social
b. In ranked it wouldn't be only people your level but people from all levels together with the same average level for each team.
c. In social it would be based on best connection.
d. Only 20v20 because too many more people would be too chaotic.
e. Once in game, if someone leaves, an AI joins in and guards one of the bases that you have (usually the safest). He stays in until another player joins in and then he leaves.
f. You also can choose in the matchmaking option either
a. New
b. Active
This allows you to say if you want to start from the beginning or from the end.

im pretty sure that the elite and white xbox could not handle this, but im positive that the slim will. anyway thank you for putting a awesome idea up like this. im sure that bungie will recognize you and just may do that... because bungie listens to there community and cause there awesome.

Its not necessarily the xbox, but the connection the people have. I hope bungie recognizes this but not the exact version in the original post, but a version that has a little more skill to it

i like the idea of an AI replacing a person if they leave until another joins but what if each team had between 2 and 5 all time AI's that are marines or elites not spartan's. you know to just be there and help they don't have to defend a base or can if they want but will follow you into battle.

I very much dislike the idea of a "weapons shop." Well, I dislike the way you decribed it. Players, once dropped on the map should be restricted to stay on the map. Which brings me to my next point. Before the teams can access the bomb, and make their final assault, they need to reach a total of 200 kills. Not points earned from kills...

In addition to the idea of "the perfect map" why not create a few perfect maps? Instead of one?

Ever play Gears of War? I like it's game type Warzone. This game type has rounds of elimination in one match. I would like to see something like Warzone (team elimination with rounds) in Halo multiplayer. And I like the idea of 20 vs 20.



I don't know if the 360 could handle massive online games like MAG. Maybe it could do 20v20 but I heard that PS3 beats 360 in processing power or something like that.
it has 1 core and 6 mini core thingies, but PS3 games almost always fail to use more than 1 or 2, because they are complicated to put in the disc, the useage. Xbox just has 3 cores, no mini cores.

This idea sounds phenomenal. The one problem I've ever had with Halo is that the games are too small. You've never been able to have more than 16 people in the game. And while this can allow for some really fun gameplay, the intensity level has never really gotten all that high. However, the gameplay you suggest would easily remedy this.

I like the idea but I have an idea instead of buying with points what about having already predetermined benefits for kill streaks and multi kills and other medals so you already spawn or obtain some how your benefits without necessarily going to a store and buying yes it sounds a little like cod but i don't like cod in fact i hate it compared to how much i love halo but benefits from medals i thought of it before I knew of cod so if you wanted to add my idea to your you can I vote that this idea should be on reach to bad there is a small chance.

well this is a really good idea, but it would be way too far in development for it too work, one cool gametype would be like double agent from global agenda. 4 Spartans vs 2 elite players in firefight. it would be a lot less taxing on the servers and way more manageable except it may have a default difficulty like heroic and only last a set.

anyway, check my screenshots, the bases should be similar to Valhala's.....or Coagulation, me, I was just too lazy to make a new layout from scratch....anyway, there's a pic of what a pelican drop should look like

also, inside the base, what basic things would be in there, a grenade dispenser, instant respawn, and a teleporter to your teams Armory, where the leftovers from pelican drops go.....let me know if you need anything else

the map would have to be unrealistcally big....and play to around 200 kills. not even to mention the lag...there is no such server to support that many people in a single game, say that all of them are ripping carnage...
