(Active camo sword kill) Halo003qd says "NINJA"

i dont think the idea of weapon lockers maybe like you get enough kills and a class unlocks not having to buy and you select like sniper, heavy weapons, demolitions, and assault

I think that the players should have to gain their own points for weapons, so that you dont have some idiot wasting the teams credit
This post made me laugh. Yeah, each person will have their own points, and they can only spend from their points.

this would be great, but bungie should intergrate a drop in/ drop out experience, so if you lose a player or more, your team wont be screwed

  • 09.28.2010 6:30 PM PDT

definatly, this would make most ps3 players probably switch to xbox. this would be a perfect game mode. i hope bungie really pulls through on this one.

Personally, I think every xbox game should occur on a dedicated server considering Live costs $50 a year and the fees will be hiked in November for the useless ESPN shows. The host/peer model is ridiculously tiered and unbalanced where the host obviously has a big advantage over the clients. Fortunately, this isn't a huge problem with Halo but is pretty bad for many other Xbox games.

Xbox Live, by its flawed design, cannot handle more than 24 players at a time, period. In contrast, most PC games run 32 to 64 players per server, though obviously a better connection is required to ensure playability on them.

In short, a game like this couldn't work on the Xbox 360. If you want big battles and huge maps, you'll have to go for the PC.

Come read my blog! I post reviews on all the video games I play, and movies/tv shows that I watch. URL is my homepage URL. Thanks for visiting!

While that sounds great, it sounds like you'd need a couple more people to utilize a map like that... If you have a big map, everyone's going to go snipers and stay away from the shotgun area's... I'd be happy if bungie utilized the whole boneyard map in slayer games.

this gametype, even though similar to section 8, would be one the most amazing thing ever, plus imagine the massive amount of credits you'll get at the end of this maybe 2 hour game

if you remember one thing on the xbox 360 system, the video game -frontlines fuel of war- on a multiplayer match ran about 32 vs 32, so i am pretty sure that a dedicated server can certainly handle it

The sentence below is false.
The sentence above is true.

I would greatly enjoy this new game mode, but I'm not so sure about points for new weapons, but I definitely agree with the vehicle drop. I just think that this would take a lot of code work for bungie employees who already are doing so much for their community. And I am sure someone will come up with "The Perfect Map" in forge world soon.

  • 09.28.2010 10:26 PM PDT

Hey great news for everyone! they already have that game format its called CALL OF DUTY lol

Yes, yes I would.

Is it lemon scented?

They had 30v30 on some halo 2 vista servers, I dont't see why xbox can't have 20v20 on their servers, with host migration and all. But yeah, this is a great idea.

  • 09.29.2010 4:39 AM PDT

Great idea.

  • 09.29.2010 5:04 AM PDT

thats right there my freind is the ultimate invasion and the best thing ever made

Maybe as one of the so called weapon drops, you can receive the HRUNTING/YGGDRASIL Mark I Prototype Armor Defense System, essentially enabling you to become a walking tank, and providing some defense against Scarabs if they are included.

A link to the armor is here:

http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/HRUNTING/YGGDRASIL_Mark_I_Prototyp e_Armor

Remove the space between the p and the e in prototype, not sure why its doing that.

I think that this would be a good idea up to a point then people would find ways to cheat the game type by camping on the cruiser or something like that, also for the map to have close quaters and long range it would be too big for 20 it would need to be 30 or more. However I do think this is a brilliant idea for people that enjoy social games this isnt for serious gamers.

Like parts of the idea, but the whole "buy weapons and vehicle drops" part is a bit much. I would be happy with a 20v20 map.

  • 09.29.2010 2:41 PM PDT

I think this is a great idea, maybe could use a little bit of a touch up, and it would be in your best intrest to post a feed so that other people are able to play and test out this new game type. I think you are approaching it wrong by making its own game type at the main menu, it sounds like it could be put into a playlist. Also if you want this to go any where your going to have to have multiple map variants that support this game type. Good luck with your idea, I hope it fallows through and I support it 100%.

Conner Powell

This is probably one of the best ideas that I have ever seen on the bungie forums, but there are a few things that I dont like about this such as the idea of buying weapons, but instead of that maybe we would be able to just have small weapons spawn at the begining of the game and as the game gets higher and higher in score the more heavy duty weapons would spawn. Another thing that I did really really like was the though of ODST drop podding onto the battle feild, now that would be BA. But one problem with that would be killing teamates as you drop podded into action lol. But the final thing that I would love to be able to do is call in a vehicle drop onto the battle feild, and of course if your team was smart, they would wait untill most of the team had enough credits to call in like a scorpion of a wraith all at the same time, and make on giant take rush to the other teams spawn. This could be fixed of course by putting a limit on the amout of certain vehicles that are on the battlefield at on time, but other than that this has to be on of the best ideas ever to hit the forums.

Sounds Like A Great Idea

  • 09.29.2010 5:11 PM PDT

It actually sounds pretty epic... aside from the random ass rpg-type "weapon shop" in the middle of it. lol

I would totally love a massive battle map with games of 20 vs 20, but like stated... It must have dedicated servers.

Why not something like in Tom Clancy's endwar where you can pick a side.. covenant or unsc and fight over the planet reach in sections... and it updates the planet map after every game. Have seasons just like in Arena and at the end of the season whichever side has more of the planet "conquered" wins that season? idk, just an idea. :)
