I would really REALLY enjoy this but there's one thing missing space battle. This whole thing would be complete if there was space battle just like mission 6 done complete

We all know you're just trolling to compensate for something weak inside you.

If there WAS space battle, you can just fly down to the surface and just shoot everyone up... that would be unfair

unless maybe there was like anti air guns like in the campaign that would shoot u down etc but is 20 v 20 even possible connection wise?

It would almost need a ground base for each team because if you did an assault round after the 200 kills where would you assault with the bomb? So once you jump every time you respawn it would be in your ground base. That would be where the bomb would have to be placed. If you wanted you could put your weapon store in the ground base.

So im saying start in the ship for a grand invasion then after that respawn in a ground base. Weapon store would be in the ground base and the bomb for the assault stage would be in the center of the enemies base. If bungie wanted to they could add a cut scene on the end that shows the bomb being teleported to the ship and destoring it. But that would be up to them on that part.

I think this new game mode sounds like a lot of fun! Anything to expand the Halo: Reach popularity is good. All the ideas put out sound great. I like the idea of paying for your guns gives you like a real sense kinda. Now there is creating it how do you plan to get it done?d

Go Bungie!

I love this idea. Bungie should make an update for it soon if they can.

That would be fun, but the first thing that reading this made me think of is the PS3 game MAG... Big teams, big maps 100 Percent fun.

sweet

If you think like a boss, you'll be a boss.

I said yes but the only thing I have a problem with is that you get to call in vehicles. THIS ISN'T CALL OF DUTY!
But everything else, I happen to like.
Instead of that just make the spawn times on vehicles less time.
If this idea happens to get its spotlight in the Halo Reach menu... The idea of buying a tank would super -blam!-!(as in an expression..not that I have a problem with -blam!-s.) So therefore the tank has to be at least 30k off of points.
and take off 6-7 players off the 20.

Remember Reach.

I really like this idea. If I were you I'd also add a part of the game where instead of everyone being on a crusier 1 teams on a covenant cruiser while the others on a UNSC one. For this part of the game you would have to have 9 people be in a cannon,5 people Jetpack over to the enemy ship and do a sabotage type thing and have people protect 1 person from others and have that 1 person plant the bomb on the ships(add lasers to the cruisers front for driver to control)main laser power supply, 5 people defend the laser power supply, and 1 person be a driver for the ship who can also man the lasers.

Halo 2; 12,000 games. Never stopped loving it.
Halo 3; 9,000 games. Never stopped loving it.
Halo Reach; Learning to love it and it's not working.

If Bungie had the same map dev team as they did in previous Halo's this map and gametype would be completely attainable.
Unfortunately.
They are too focused on... well -blam!- I dont know everything but the multiplayer experience so they integrate 10 -blam!- campaign maps into multiplayer and make 4 remakes.
Poooooor poor effort on the Multiplayer spectrum.

I like it, but I'd like it more if you could choose your entry to the battlefield depending on your "score". I'd love to be able to use a drop pod to enter the battle zone, ODST style (Without the knocked unconscious for over 6 hours part), plus, you'd be able to steer it to you're target location, unlike a pelican which would land you and your teammates in an outpost or base.

  • 10.03.2010 1:51 PM PDT

I'd say if you shoot down a pelican, you
should get a but load of points

game type could be called "Warfare"?

how awesome would it be if you heard the dudes voice

"Warfare!.... Obliterate the enemy!"

This game-type exists.
It's called Empires, and I've been playing it since Halo 2.
Now that Forge is around, it's even easier to work with.

Play in Forge, and have the one person that wants to 'run shop' be the monitor. Everyone else runs around and gets their kills.
The shop keeper puts prices on everything, and when a team hits X kills, they go in to buy an item.

So if a tank costs 150 kills, you walk in there with a combined (Or solo) kill count of 150 and say what you want to buy. Change teams to reset your count back to zero, and you get your item.

It was rough to play in Halo 2, as it relied WAY too much on the honor system (Since the vehicles and weapons were always just sitting there, you had to play the honor system that no one would pick up the rockets without the special 'rocket permit)

Now you can just Forge a nice map, put in a room full of weapons and vehicles, but block them all off and only let the Forger allow access.

To Own You In Halo 3!!

This Idea is brilliant, I really hope Bungie consider this idea and make it happen.

  • 10.04.2010 4:18 AM PDT

Maybe if you get enough points (has to be alot), you will be able to drive a pelican or the dropship.

But to keep it fair you only fly it once in a match.

  • 10.04.2010 4:30 AM PDT

Love Bungie.

Is this Halo 3 or Reach? Becasue there are no MAulers, SMGs, missile pods in HAlo: Reach...

  • 10.04.2010 4:43 AM PDT

It would be cool to drop in like odst's at the beginning.
