Watch your back, cause I'll assassin you....

Just have problem with shop but everything else is great. If the shop was to be outside where it is able for every player wouldn't it be easy to camp there, kill them after they got their weapon, then take it?

Although it's odviously a great idea, and i think EVERYONE would love it, it's just completely unfeasable for Bungie.
The server costs would be through the roof for a start, Matchmaking is cheap, that's why they avoid dedicated servers, you can't keep them going forever, and this is not something they could just throw together, they would need months and months to work on it and make sure it all comes together right. It would basically be a brand new game on it's own.
If they made it, i would pay for it like a map pack, easily worth 1600MS points, but i doubt it's possible.
Great concept, but it's just impossible for Bungie to make.

Dude your idea is awesome !!!!!!!!!!!
My English isn't the best because i come from Austria, but we play Halo here too :-) .
I start with a question : would the gamemode be in reach or in the next halo game ? (i hope in reach)
And now a little suggestion for the respawning: when you respawn, you see a map of the map (i hope you understand what i mean :-) )and can set a mark on the map where ever you want.
After that you see yourself in a pelican (as a passenger)which lands over the position you marked and you jump out.
But you are also able to spawn near to your squadmate (like in invasion)
I hope you like my suggestion :-)
Please answer me

this is true unless you add more targeting laser, Larger vehicles( thinks scarabs and elephants.

That is a brilliant idea! I would love to play that and the cr payout for the winning team would be amazing. But what if u could actually fly the pelican then when someone calls for a vehicle it went on auto pilot and went and drops the vehical. I would also like to fly in a hornet again

Why was his account deleted???

  • 01.07.2011 5:30 PM PDT

Sounds awesome, I'd definitely support a new map like that

  • 01.07.2011 6:27 PM PDT

What in the world does the Z in ZOMG stand for????

The whole concept seems really well thought out and could be perhaps the best multiplayer experience yet, but after reading some of the ideas it seems like incorporating them would stray far away from the Halo experience.

If thou gaze long into an abyss, the abyss shall also gaze into thee.

Imo this sounds really, really good, and I would love to see it in matchmaking playlists, especially in a "Double credit weekend" playlist.

Getting into a HEV pod and dropping down would be so awesome, especially dropping 'feet first into hell'.

It would be great to have wave spawning so many waves could go in there, I do believe Xbox 360 can support a 20v20 match easily.

If only Bungie could implement this in the next monthly update, or even this year, I would be forever grateful.

"What do I think of Western Civilization? I think it would be a good idea." - Mahatma Gandhi

Good idea. Only drawbacks are:

1. Too much lag
2. Each game would last an hour or more.

  • 01.08.2011 8:11 AM PDT

To be honest, when I first saw all this in the weekly update I thought 2 things.
#1- there is an actual legendary ending but,
#2- No matter what anyone does,(kill all the bobs, hit all switches etc) that until the "time" mentioned in "There'll be another time..." is reached there won't be a legendary ending.

The weekly update by bungie has slowed my hardcore search for what unlocks the legendary ending.

We need more mythic members in here. AND WE NEED IT NOW!

I think it is a great idea. I hope Bungie could pull this off. Please Make this Happen Bungie!

It's a great idea.

I would change, as you anticipated, the part where we go and buy weapons with our points. Inside the Cruiser, there are numerous weapon stashes locked in chain-linked fences that become available every time you get a certain number of kills.

Each weapon stash, depending on how easy it is to unlock, would hold specific weapons (the stash that requires 100 points would hold ARs, Maulers, SMGs, and Frag Grenades. The last one that requires 100,000 points would hold a Spartan Laser, a few Swords, and a Missile Pod) These are just examples.

Ex. You get 10 kills (as you said) and imagine those 10 kills scored you 100 points. In order to open the first chain-linked fence to get to the first weapon stash, you need 150 points. Once you have 150 points, you can walk up to any of the stashes that require 150 points or less to unlock, and unlock it.

You bring up some good ideas.

I really like this idea, but maybe everything would cost more points and you would need to buy the stashes instead of unlocking them. On top of this, they'd cost more points because the entire team would need to pool their points into the same stash to unlock them quicker. =D
I hope this is useful.

Sounds great to me but i would say that your points roll over and they could also add commendations for this new mode that would add to your total amount of points.

Plus they could do something like wager matches where you could bet the points you have rolled over to get more or end up broke

  • 01.08.2011 4:46 PM PDT

this would be so fun to play

1 sounds awsome
2 I asume the 2 teams would be elites vs spartens
3 what if you had proximety voice that way you would have to be near your team mates to talk to them also you could buy wakie takies with your points so you can comunicate long range
4 what if you had 3 Islands 2 being bases with the other inbetwen them and you could add boats and submerines as transport

To ^^^^^^^> It could be done with Spartans and Elites, it's just gameplay. Also, you could have radio channels for headsets, something like 1 through 77, and lets say that in the pre-game lobby you tell your team to go to a radio channel, so you can only hear like six people talking. Switching a radio channel would be as easy as pushing a D-pad button. Then, you could have designated "Hackers" on your team, that just sit back and search through radio channels to find out what the enemy are saying/ doing.

Like in real life "walkie-talkie's" you can accidently find someone elses radio channel. You know what I'm saying? That would be soooo epic. Of course you'd still have proximity voice, but come on, how does that radio channel thing sound? Your friends could all be set to a certain channel, lol.

In the pregame lobby it could tell each team a seperate radio channel, that's recomend, kinda like a default channel for the game.

I'm I getting through to you?

And Shishka, you'd better be listening to this guy, he single handidly thought of the best gametype of all of Halo.

I think the channels are a good idea but it would be better just to only talk to your squad of like 4.

I think the idea of squads is really good. You could have 5 squad's of 4 and each squad would randomly be assigned a captain and you would gain points or lose points according to how well you followed his/her directions.

I think to get assigned to a squad every time you spawn you go to the shuttle craft zone and go to the one with people in it and as soon as you have 4 people in a shuttlecraft your captain could take off and the 4 people would make a new squad.

There would be a limited amount of shuttlecrafts so if you ran out you would have to do another job like be a hacker or spend some points for a pelican to pick you up and take you to the battlefield.

I think having missle pods on the carriers would be cool too so if you ran out of shuttlecrafts or just felt like it you could fire at enemy ships.

does any of this sound good?
