16v16 does sound a bit better. The game would be a little less hectic, that's for sure. Also, in my conclusion for this game to work, I had figured from the start they would consist of completely new maps. Yes, it would be an expansion, but nothing like ODST.
I don't believe this expansion would be passed off as a totally new game, nor do I think it should. Merely, this should be something that is mostly attainable through downloadable content, and then one would access it through Halo: Reach.
If someone isn't able to download it, they could purchase a disc where it would then be downloaded through... or perhaps a full copy of Halo: Reach with the mode pre-installed.
This would certainly drive some more sales for Reach.
Again, I think a weapons shop and vehicle drop is a terrible idea. I truly feel it would be better if perhaps the amount of individual credits could allow for better loadouts. And, as far as vehicle drops, simply team progression could spawn better vehicles at a designated spot.
Of course, weapons should still be laid out on the maps. And I would never suggest that an earned loadout would consist of any power weapons. Just because someone spawn camps and racks up cheap kills, doesn't mean they should be allowed to then camp with rockets and snipers. The game needs to maintain a level of balance.
