I'm frickin working for Bungie someday!
I do find your idea interenting and i have thought of the same idea myslef. it sounds like an all out full war mode with an open area, campaign based battlefield. the idea of buying weapons sounds very similar to that of call of duty's zombie mode. it also simply doesnt appeal to me at all but thats just me. earning exerience points or credits like in Reach would be fine but some new form of campaign points play the exact same purpose as the credits earned in halo reach making them unreasonable and again very similar to call of duty. player should just be given a few select classes or one starting class with a basic armory or a set of mounted weapons sort of like the ones you find throughout the campaign in the other halo's. there should be multiple game modes in this all out war mode like the one you explained in the original post, ones that are just killing the other team, one where every one has 3 to 5 lives and the objective is to wipeout enemy forces(which could suck if the last person on a team was hiding in a map big enough to normally fit 40 people, a mode similar to that of invasion from halo reach but on a much larger scale, a mode where forty people are put into four teams of ten, maybe there could be a vip mode where one team has has a vip in a stronghold and the other team must infiltrate and kill this vip, there could be a mode that combines assault and invasion and there are multiple bomb sitesand maybe even multiple bombs for each team. If a mode like that were to be made, i think it should be simply called "To War" because it is short, to the point, vague yet obvious, and it would sound epic.
