The most epic way of playing IMO is a team of humans and a team of elites, say 20 vs 20. Each team would start on a cruiser/battleship with each vehicle and weapon avaible on it (limited of course).

Choose your weapon, armor ability and/or vehicle and you are beeing dropped on the battlefield at a location of your choice, be it in a drop pod or a transport. The drop pod can be great if you are the lonewolf type, the transport can carry multiple players at the same time. Of course, you have X minutes before beeing automatically dropped on a random place to avoid an empty battlefield. To prevent unbalanced teams when players quit there would be the ability to join the game anytime there is a free spot.

These types of gameplay are all about tactics and coordination. A sneaky sniper can drop behind enemy lines and assist his team or an entire armada could be dropped to "finish the fight" if it's well coordinated.

I think it's some kind of moddd Halo CE mixed with modded Battlefield 1942 and that's the Halo I would like to see but I think it's impossible to see that one day as it's really clear that Halo is now all about "spawn, run, kill", the Quake gametype ... just the same old boring gameplay everytime, everyday.

This would be pretty amazing, considering Bungie could kick the lag out. I was also thinking, what if instead of Loadouts only, you could have Classes aswell. As in:
Class: ODST
Loadouts: Jetpack (Pistol + DMR)
Sprint (Pistol + AR)
Camouflage (Pistol only?)
Etc. That would make it a heaps more fun. but that idea ^ isn't perfect. Refine it >_>.

I think most other shooter game's multiplayer is becoming like that actually.

You are asking bungie to do time consuming effort on this game mode most notabley you are asking them to make a ENTIRE new map just for this. Bungie will not do that just for one game mode to be added in there lobby and if they were to add that map you (or whoever came up with the idea) have the inital design that bungie needs for the devolopment. If you feel that this game is inferrior to other games than simply buy section 8 or killzone 3 no one is forcing you to keep playing halo reach.

This is a very good idea, but Bungie won't do it. What you're proposing is everything that Battlefield Bad Company 2 has, in a sense. Everything they put on their is perfectly utilized. Sniping is hard because you have to keep moving so you're not found, instead of just plainly turning invisible. With Halo Reach the way it is, this wouldn't really work, cause the key to winning really easily would be Active Camo, Sniper Rifle, and Spartan Laser and hide somewhere. If you're going to make a large map, make it easier to find people in it.

Honestly, instead of trying to force Bungie to do this, just wait for Battlefield 3 because it will have all of that (cruisers and stuff exempt of course) and more. Honestly, I keep going back to BBC2 because the gameplay is so much more satisfying instead of okay let's get the Scorpion and camp like noobs and win the game. BBC2 can turn around at any moment and plus, they build maps for the intention of what you just made a poll on.

i deffinetly agree with this idea. I think if Reach is bungies last game they should make alot of new game modes and things to keep players interested. this is deffinetly something that would keep or make players playing the game.

the points can be like a killstreek 5 you can get a weapon 10 you get a a warthog or something then at 40 your team gets to controll the pillar of autom!!!!! Totaly sick right?!? Doubt that will happen but give it a shot bungie you try it out then tell us how it works.

weapon shop could be lock cod zombies when you buy it off the wall. Also they said something about dropping vehicals you could get a target locater type thing to do that.

Maybe instead of two UNSC ships, one would still be UNSC, but the other covenant. The covenant ship would have all covenant weapons and items inside, and the UNSC with all human items. Also, there would be loadouts, but they would not change weapons,these will still be bought. They will determine where you spawn on your ship, and this area will be completely sealed from the rest, except for the shop. These loadouts will only fit a certain number of people. For example, one would be "Pilot" and they would spawn in a dock with falcons or banshees. there would be 4 spots for Covenant, with 4 banshees. And 6 for UNSC, with 2 falcons each with 2 gun turrents. They would also effect armor abilities, so another loadout, "Medic" will spawn with drop sheild (they will not be healed by the dropsheild though) in an area with a bunch of health packs. They can carry 1 health pack and can only use it on themselves. Pilot would start with a jetpack and have the ability to eject from their vehicle as it explodes to prevent death

TL;DR loadouts, diffrent spawn points for each loadout, each loadout gets their own armor ability and special trait.

i like your idea. what about you have a server where it is going for ever and never stops so the war goes on forever. BUT if you score enough points you will rank up and go to a new "battlefield"

This is actually very funny. I, a few weeks ago, was actually making.... the general idea of this in Forge mode.... Or atleast as much as I could do by myself within forge mode.... Basically My idea was the same as this... but I dumbed it down (for forge mode) alllllll the way untill basically it was just a "UNSC" ship and a "Covenant" Ship.... you would basically spawn in the ship and then for the UNSC would drop pod down (complete with 100% custom drop pods) and covenant would teleport down.... goal was shaped like an invasion map... UNSC defended a base for a bit of time while cov. attacked... then after a bit of time they would run over and assault the cov. forward base (not a full base just a spawn location with some defenses) destroy the base with a bomb and you win.... cov. just had to get inside the UNSC base... so same idea.... I just had to dumb it down so I could make it myself in Forge mode... but If bungie did this.... I would.... well im already their biggest fan.... so.... I would.... hm.... I would love them more? if its possible.

I like the way you think, but it ain't official until we have some sort of giant forerunner on the map. There could also be air attacks. Like if you get a killing frenzy for example, you will get an award like a target locator, sounds good eh? And you could use it to rack havoc on everybody in the opposite team

i have a good idea for it, basically like all you said, except theres a group of shortswords ready to go on the UNSC side, and seraphs on the covey side. what you have to do it protect the ships for a certain time, or get a certain amount of kills, and they blast off and destroy the enemy base. there would still be the armoury and drop pods, but when your falling maybe you can control it with the d-pad, cos that isnt used enough. the armoury system would be on the ship, but you hold x to view the armoury. ill edit with a pic of what i imagine it to look like soon.
