I can't believe that people are still talking about this...

But anyways, some pages ago, someone mentioned armor actually doing something, so I thought up a list of what it could do. Armor is based on the HELMET only, everything else means nothing (Elites don't apply to this rule).

Stamina=AA recharge time

EVA/Air Assault/Ranger Elite- Gets rid of fall damage.

Operator/Elite Officer- Highlights objects (like the night vision in campaign).

EOD/Grenadier- Can hold four of each type of grenade.

ODST- No fall damage, faster, but weaker shields.

HAZOP- Stronger sheilds, but reduced visibility.

Pilot- Vehicles can take more damage.

GUNGIR- reduces bloom, slightly.

Scout/ Elite Spec Ops- Invisible on motion sensors.

Recon- All weapons can zoom in.

Mark V- Stronger shields and CE HUD.

Mark VI- Stronger shields and 3 HUD.

Commando- Increased motion sensor range.

CQC- has melee bleed through.

CQB- Reduces melee damage done to user.

JFO- can speed up drop offs (weapon crates, vehicles, etc.).

Military Police- Can duel wield weapons.

Mark V B- More stamina and Reach HUD (Considering that this would be a new game).

Security- Stronger shields when by allies.

Rouge (If it's brought back)- Stronger shields when away from allies.

Hayabusa (If it's brought back)- More speed and higher jumps.

Elite Minor- More stamina.

Elite Ultra- higher jumps and faster.

Elite General- Melee has bleed through.

Field Marshall- Extra Ammo.

^LOL and i like the persons idea of helmets doing things. it could also be made into one really really massive map, where you get to fly shortswords for unsc or seraphs for covey, and you have to guide that big laser cruiser that destroyed the spire, or corvette if your covey.

Too complicated and wouldn't really work on Reach. Maybe you could persuade Bungie to put it on the remake of Halo CE.

i dont think so :/ anyway, ill draw up designs for my version of the armoury now. it would be a good idea to unlock the weapons though. and maybe you could choose 3 vehichle drops and/or weapon drops of unlocked weapons.

MP+security shoulders would allow dual wield of all one-handed weapons, but they would have max bloom applied when DW. Pistol, PP, PRi. Sword would be included, but it would only be a cosmetic thing.

CQB would allow increased melee force, not damage, physical force.

I like your Ideas about the weapon drops i think they should install a target locator in the helmet so when you zoom you can place the drop where you want so it doesn't accidentaly hit anyone.

Hey yeah that Gametype sounds sick me and my boys were talking about it the other day, but no weapon buying that is just retarded and would spoil the game, just spawn DMR, AR and have weapons all throughout the map

The new game mode sounds like an awesome idea. I think you said something about campaign scoring. I'm not sure if this is what you're trying to get at, but would you earn the points at the same rate as campaign? If so, that sounds like a really good idea. It is a little tough on Bungie, but you're right, I think they can pull it off. A few last things I liked too were the vehicles, the dropping into the map and buying the weapons before the drop. That's a really good idea you had!

This sounds very interesting, but it's probably too late to place in Reach. In Bungie's next first person/third person shooter, perhaps?

Yah the idea for armor affecting gameplay would be pretty cool, but only in certain game modes.

A player can access the shop, during gameplay, but not before respawning. (The player should first make sure there are no enemies around, as they can kill him or her while he or she accesses the shop.)



good idea,but it could lead to "shop killing" where noobs wait for players to go to the shop and kill them when they do.

This is what the Halo community needs this does not seem like a big challenge either. I think this is a possible game type. It would be like nothing else and I think it would really piss off Black Ops knowing Halo has better Multiplayer.
