This game mode would be great in my opinion! But the part where you said that you'd get weapons for certain amount of points could be where you get the vehicle and then it'd also deliver weapons to you inside of the little cases they're in in other halo games. This would be alot more easier to do since it comes with the vehicle. I'm not trien to say the idea is bad I'm just saying It'd be alot more easier on Bungie

Ok i like the idea, but get rid of the idea of the points and weapon shop because then Halo becomes too tacticle and complicates, Halo is a game that is simple, you kill, you score, you win, sure tactics come into it a bit, but the game is not meant to be too compliated. It would ruin Halo if this happened. I'm votting Yes to this because i like the idea of a massive map, that requires a set up and many skills.

Now to the map, make it symetricle, with a long range for vehcles and what not, a mid range part, and a close range part. I like your ideas here. But what i think you should do each base have 2 of each weapon (4 in the case of duel wield), because the map is so big, and let them spawn every 2m30s. with vehcles have them spawn ever 3m15s

I like the scoring system, but make the kills to 250-300 because i think 200 can be achieved relativly quickly. and keep the bomb idea... thats sweet.

OK... now to your idea of calling in a vehcle... keep it, but make it soo your team can only spawn one of each vehcle the entire game. Any person can spawn any vehcle when they want without consulting they're team, but they must also bear in mind the consequenses. Make it so that you can chose where the pelican will drop it. but it takes 30 seconds to get there, meanwhile you can still move and walk about.

Now, I don't know if anyone has said this, but I think that in addition to purchasing weapons, you should be able to unlock supply caches throughout the map, though these would cost a lot of points.

Kind of think of it as a supply cache from ODST that could have randomized equipment/weapons/vehicles stored which would be located at a secure area on the "Perfect Map". i.e. a bunker, base, territory, outpost, etc.

To sum up on what people have said, i have came to a list of posts i found while reading through the thread that i thought i might put into a list also adding some of my own ideas to it. Although i might miss some of what the past posters have said, i have come to the conclusion of adding what i could find to the list hopefully helping the thread starter to summerise what everyone have said.

In conclusion to the posts i read i have decided on my own suggestions as well as adding some of the posters ideas to the list, well here goes:

1.For people who would stay on the cruiser the entire game, i like the idea of flapjacks from where they die after a certain amount of time but combined with soulreavers idea of where a enemy ship attacks the cruiser making you die and respawn on the map below.

2.Also once landing or spawning on the map you hear an explosion of where the cruiser you were on is destroyed and crashes off into the background as well as the enemy ship flying off into the distance.

3.Maby instead of weapon stashes we have weapon drop pods in which your weapon you have chosen on the ground from a sub menu is placed in the pod and sent from the cruiser you were first placed on before dropping to the ground in a HEV pod. Also implementing vehicle drops as others have suggested.

4.More vehicles such as longswords pelicans, walkers like in halo wars, scarabs, submarines etc which would make for a challenging game since it would involve staying covered from flying vehicles, running into buildings from a land vehicle, trying to swim to shore while running away from sea vehicles or maby flying down to the atmosphere of the planet you are orbiting from within a space vehicle while trying to evade pursuing enemies.

5.I also like the idea pocket syndrome said as where you have a hanger bay from which you can retrieve a vehicle to drive off onto the map below, just thinking of the feeling you would get as you slowely descend onto the ground from the hanger bay while watching as you see others behind you or from the enemy cruiser doing the same, it makes me want this to be implemented even more.

6.Objective modes such as ship assault, one bomb, ctf, slayer etc.

7.Some kind of last stand vehicle that does not cost points as sinomen suggested.

8.I also like the idea of where you spawn with weapons earned from badges or points but also implementing the weapon pods as you might not like the weapon you have but would like to spend some of the points you have gained on a weapon or vehicle lowering the chance of gaining a good weapon the next time you respawn.

9. If assuming logaspartan's idea of bungie making us normal odst/marines then his suggestion may work as it involves the entire squad to choose their spartan for one life.

10.Finally squads, i think squads may work in some cases as for when most of the squad has a mike so the squad members may talk to each other and by pressing a button like left on the d-pad to talk to other squads. This would make for some really good battles seeing as it involves in alot of strategising but may work against the squad since maby the squad members may have no mike. Also lolsandwhich's idea is good on the part of where you are automatically assigned to a squad since it may get a tiny bit hectic when coming to the part of squad choosing. Such in many circumstances you may hear the following "nah i only want my friends in this squad" or "i don't like him, don't invite him to the squad" those are just two of the many comments people would now and then say, which would slow down the gameplay.


I can just picture a pelican or phantom driving to the enemy base about to win when a bunch of drop pods come out of the sky and tear it to pieces! That would be epic!

I love ur idea but maybe this can make it better, Instead of just spawning into the battlefield why not ODST drop pods BUT instead of so many drop pods each can hold 5 people and weapons (whatever bungie wants to have in it) then when they reach the battle field after 50sec to 1min the Pod explodes so it wont lag. And the way u get down is well u have 2 min to get into a pod and if not you die and wait until at least one person reaches the battlefield. So while your in the cruiser you have time to gather 2 weapons (there arent power weapons i figure u buy them with ur points).

Now here comes my 2nd fix idea after a team gets 100 kills the team recieves a few good weapons or vechiles

My 3rd idea is if you can remember back to halo 1 you got dropped onto the battlefield in a pelican on 1 of the levels (facing the covenant) if you dont like the first idea up top then you might like this, your in the crusier and you have 2 minutes to get into the pelican before it takes off to the battlefield then sit amd enjoy the ride because you'll really have the feeling of Halo. Then after that you spawn normally.



Now this 4th one is a option when you get the bomb a special mongoose or regular spawns infront of the bomb and turrets spawn in front of the enemy base and they can try to keep the team out there base.


5th idea when the bomb is planted the team defends the bomb off and when its about to detonate when it detonates instead of those boring explosions why not have the whole base explode?

i like the squad leader idea but i think you Could have the squad leaders, and also the leader of entire team for extra tacticts and the boss of team would be nominated and get all the binoculars,airstrike and equipment stuff, and give an equal amount too each squad leader, you could also tell certian squads or players what there roles are, with a little menu to scroll through.

i would literaly love it if right in the middle of a battle the squad leader could press right on the D pad and it gave u a list of what a pelican could hot drop to u like u radio for a hog and u cant get another for 2 minutes.so a pelican comes it drops the hog on the location u marked and boom vehicle drop.same with weapon drops

While I am sure some argument will occur over who gets squad leader in a future thread, that would be cool if they could set objectives and make orders to assault something or protect a base. They would need limited powers to prevent unfair advantages, but otherwise obviously in charge on the battle

This Could Be a Great Idea! maybe they can have a whole playlist dedicated to underground shotty matches and then have a nother playlist for snipers like in halo3 team snipers and then have another playlist for both =D

I love this idea, but I have a problem with the weapon purchasing system.

I mean seriously, I shouldn't have to get 10 kills just for a shotty I'm going to lose when I die. I actually think the weapon you buy should be a one time purchase, but you lose your ammo when you die and you have to rebuy that.

Ex: A shotty or BR cost 10 points for an empty gun, but 6 shells or a single BR magazine would cost 2 or 3 points.

Since Rocket Launcher are so godam powerfulz, a launcher would cost 25 points for the launcher itself, and 2 rockets would cost 10 points per purchase.
