What Flood Fear: Bad Bodies
this sounds cool, and all, but its a little complex, and overly complicated. IF it does work here's how I think it should work...
Objective mode: There would be a mode where its objective based, so each game varies. Examples of objectives...
Suicide warthog: One team gets a transport warthog packed tight with explosives. What you do is you find it in one of the bases on the ground. You have to protect it very well, and hope it does not blow up. You would have to drive it a long distance, and get it to the enemies ground base/warehouse. In the enemies base there could be a generator, communication device, computer or whatever. Once you get to this location the warthog will go off in 30 seconds. You most likely want to protect it because enemies might try to drive it away from the generator, but the warthog will still explode even if it is away from the generator. Once the warthog is set ot go off it won't stop the countdown no matter what.
Then basically the warthog makes an explosion about 15x a normal bombs explosion. Then that team wins. The game could work where both teams gets bombs, or only one team does.
Scarab battle: The covenant cruiser will drop a scarab on the battlefield. The covenant side would get to use it, and will try to eliminate the enemies. The UNSC's objective is to destroy the scarab before it destroys them. Simple. There could also be a gametype where both sides get scarabs.
Destroy the cruiser: The covenant have a giant anti-air turret on the ground that needs operating. The covenant try to use the turret to destroy the UNSC cruiser. The humans get a mac-cannon that is also capable of destroying the covenant cruiser. This gametype might work.
Slayer: Kill the other enemy, and the game would be like 200 kills. But the more kills one team gets the more weapons they'll get. Say the UNSC gets 50 kills. A pelican will then bring in a Gauss warthog onto the battlefield. Possibly you could choose where it lands. If the get 100 kills possibly they get a scorpion tank.
The covenant though will eventually get a scarab. After like 100 kills, or 125 kills they would get a scarab that would drop from orbit. The scarab could be destroyed, and would be fun to drive. Possibly it would have spawn points on it so soldiers could spawn on it.
Points?: IT would work like slayer, but you would get vehicles/weapons off of points. If you kill someone maybe you get 5 points. If you splatter someone maybe you get 10 points. If you sniper someone maybe you get 15 points. Basically different kills give you different amount of points. At your cruiser you can buy items with points. Say you want a scarab, and it costs 500 points. The bad side is that you lose 500 points, but you get a scarab that pwns enemies.
The game would probably go up to 1000 points.
Mongoose: 50 points
Warthog: 100 points
Gauss warthog: 150 points
Scorpion: 250 points
Hornet: 300 points
Grizzly: 400 points
Covenant:
Ghost: 75 points
Spectre(since this is in the past there are no brute vehicles): 150 points
Shadow: 200 points
Wraith: 225 points
Banshee: 175
Scarab: 500
