I hate to make a CoD reference, but it would be cool if you could control your HEV Pod like you control a Predator Missile. So you can either: Go straight into the action and maybe splatter somebody or; land farther away if you have longer range weapons, land close to your squad, which would solve the problem of spawning too far away from your squad and getting picked off. Yes? No? Suggestions? Also I think that at one point, that there could be random weapon drops for BOTH sides at a designated point, like the OP's 200 Kills, at that point, besides there being a bomb dropped, a supply pod for each player would be nice, which contains a random weapon and ammo and nades. Just an idea.

in simpler words {once dropped onto the map you stay on the map and when obtaining weapons, instead of the shop suggestion made by Urine you call in weapon pods from UNSC or Covenant after a period of time while waiting/ as well as making more then one perfect map}


I think we should have both the shop in the ship and weapon drops like you said.

Also, I think both ships should UNSC ships.

it would be possible to 20 vs 20 if bungie uses a system similar to mag's which gives you constant updates on everything about the person right next to you but less updates the further the person is from you but it wouldnt be as extreme as that is 256 people and this was built into the servers hoasted by sony and has no single host so the there is no lag whatsoever

i love the whole idea except for the buying weapons with points part. i also didnt like the part where when you call a pelican and you die and it comes anyways. the map for it should be like valhalla's but like 10 times bigger.

This has probably been suggested, but I'm not reading through 52 pages to find out.

Now, making a ridiculous generalization, most of you people posting suggestions are posting insanely impossible things. This idea is (not very) plausible. Prepare to behold:

Lobby: The teams are separated automatically, your team of 20 is broken into 4 squads of 5, you get to pick your squad. The highest rank in your squad is the leader. If 2 guys have the same rank, then alphabetical order will decide your leader. Each squad has their own voice channel, comparable to an Xbox Live Party. The squad leaders can cycle through different channels with the D-Pad, but non-leaders are stuck on their squads channel.

Start of Game: Teams are seperated into their squads by a chain link fence. The squad members then vote on who will be their CQB, Sniper, Demolition, and Regular soldiers. You can't vote for yourself. You are then outfitted with whatever weapon your team voted you with, with every Secondary weapon being an SMG. (It is only class-based like this for your first life, so don't -blam!- at me.) After you have your weapons and grabbed whatever grenades and equipment you like, your squad moves to your HEV Pods. When 4 or more of your squad members 'Ready Up,' you are dropped into combat.

Body of Game: Your pod lands in or around your team's base, which, to prevent spawn-camping, is surrounded by a force field only your teammates can pass through. From there, your team can either get some vehicles to drive together with, or move out on foot into the Wasteland. Then, you kill people.

EndGame: When the kill limit is reached (250,) a bomb appears in the hands of each squad's Demolition soldier. It is his solemn and God-given duty to blow the living -blam!- out of the enemy base. When all the squads arrive at the enemy base, only the Demolition soldiers and the squad leaders can pass the force field. They then must fight to the high tower of the enemy base, where they would then proceed to blow the living -blam!- out of it.

Extra: If, (ok... when) you die after your first life, you don't go through the Pod drop again, you simply spawn back in a special room in your base.

Now that I think of it, this is never going to happen. But a guy can dream, can't he? Also, I highly doubt any of you actually read down this far. If you did, congratulations, you gained nothing from it...

You should make it where you call in the weapons, just like the vehicles, using points.

I think this is the best idea Ive seen in any forum. But I disagree on the idea about 200 kills for the bomb. It should be more as social big team without a bomb it is 100 kills. With over double the players it should be more kills like 250. And you should also set a one minute time limit for the cruiser so you have time to get what you want and wait for teammates to descend with.

as cool as this seems on paper, there is no way that this idea would work out as you can't control how other people act. a lot of players would be bailing out continuously & it'd basically be just one big cluster-blam!-. you'd need a way for people to join during midgame, a way to penalize those players who bail out midgame (an hour ban type thing), & a way to confine players to certain roles b/c there is no way in hell they would be able to coordinate an effective resistance on their own w/o preset roles. perhaps once a player quits, an AI takes his/her place until another player joins the game. this would affect the flow of the game, but it'd be a much better alternative to playing one man down.

the gametype would also need to be resized big time. that is way too many players for just one game. perhaps 15 vs. 15 or something. 20 vs. 20 just seems a bit extensive & would produce quite a large amount of lag.

on top of that, it seems like Bungie would have needed extra time to design this whole thing out & i'm p sure it won't be included this go round.

last bit of input here regarding the drop pods. it would be fkn awesome to be able to control where the pod lands. keep in mind that there will be preset boundaries, but how awesome would it be to look down & drop into battle wherever you so please? just a suggestion.

This is really cool. To utilize all of the weapons, maybe it could be fought inside a city with fully destructible enviroments. Where you can go inside buildings. Imagine your HEV plowing through an office building and making a huge crater on impact. Maybe even splatter someone too. I don't like the weapon store idea, but maybe everybody could choose some kind of set weapon loadout before launch. Maybe a close combat class(AR), a ranged combat class(BR), and a heavy class(some kinda grenade launcher?). It could be done without distributing power weapons. It would be like the MAG game on the PS3

I just thought of a major flaw. If people are constantly dropping down in HEV's then you have to worry about hundreds of HEV Pods littering the field. even if you remove the HEV Pods, You still have craters, and It would look really UN cool if 20-30 HEV's Disappeared all of a sudden.

For starters everybody should drop down in HEVs but after that should spawn in a single base.

For Picking weapons and stuff before the match, I think if when you achieved a certain amounts of "Points" you get a Key and a beacon. Place your IR Beacon on the ground somewhere, and your Pelican drops it down. Its unable to be nabbed by your teammates, but you are able to unlock it. Similar to Cod 6, but more... HALO like. :) This game mode has so much potential. Maybe even vehicles will work that way.

Teams Alpha, Beta, Charlie, and Delta drop down in Hev's. Drop Pods stay on the ground as permanent, and if all teammates drop tactically, you could actually create a "Wall" used for cover. The Idea of Piloting these is great.

Maybe even the team pulling out a map, and selecting the place they want their pod to drop at, and also being able to view other teammates Pod spots. either or would work.

Yeah... That could be a problem with HEV pods..... What about the FIRST time you spawn you get a HEV pod so there are only 20 which is still alot. And no, NO BEACONS NO NOTHING LIKE A BEACON WHEN WE GET POINTS THATS WHY PEOPLE PLAY MW2
