Technically, the cake can NOT be a like. It was seen, in its' true form, to be so deliciously moist. Therefore, you not attending the party was a grave mistake, and you are now shamed in the world. How do you sleep at night?
I think that this game mode would be awesome. But the weapon shop would be kind of a drag on the halo franchise. A way to improve it, I think, would be to have designated places on the map,(Example: behind some hills, or behind the dropline*) that cost points to access. Say you score 20 kills, and that gets you 200 points. You can call in a sort of, weapon drop, like light assault, heavy assault, vehicle, and sniper weapon packs. The light assault has an assault rifle, a few frag grenades, and a magnum pistol, with ammo. The heavy assault has a rocket launcher, spartan laser, a bunch of frag grenades, and ammo. The vehicle drop gives you, depending on how many points you have, drops in a mongoose, warthog, that sweet truck-looking warthog(?), and a scorpion. The sniper weapon drop gives you a DMR, sniper rifle (obviously), defensive equipment, and ammo.
*The dropline, I'm thinking, should be the WIDE imaginary line that gives the person in the HEV safe passage to the ground. If the HEV goes outside the dropline, it has the danger of being shot at by the opposing teams flak, which can be controlled by players, to gain easy points in the beginning of the game, or be controlled by NPC's.
Also, with this idea, I think that when the team that gets 200 kills and gets the bomb cannot use these packs, but there is a weapons cache, that is dropped at their side of the map, which contains a variety of weapons, which respawn after 1 minute.
One more idea.
When both teams get the 200 kills required for the bomb, I think that both the teams ships should approach each other and 'dock' with each other. The docking places, relating back to the docking tubes in halo 2, on the level Cairo Station after you find Miranda and Johnson and you go for a space walk, except longer. MUCH longer.
Well, there you have it.
