Benedicite Deum Americae

yea sounds pretty cool

  • 04.07.2010 4:25 PM PDT

sounds like a good idea but instead of making a wepon depot to by u should have a respawn buy so when u die u can by it immediatly and get back in the fight

  • 04.07.2010 5:56 PM PDT

THIS

i love the idea, it has a few things i question but the basics are great, and you know what, it would take ages maybe, but a group should get together to create such a 'perfect map' on sandbox and try it out with a big-team type match, there's no reason we can't try something like this using what we already have

DuomohunTer

that is a fantastic idea, have you pitched it to Bungie yet, if not do quickly, if have, then I hope they pick up on what a good idea it is and to make it work.

The points system could work but you could include something like having to unlock a gun before you can buy it, also it would be good if you could maybe VO for the Pelican, although compatibility with Languages might be hard.

Also have Pelican pickups if the player has a reasonable amount of points.... so if, say, you had 200 point... you could call the Pelican for Evac to another part of the map to support you squadmates... just a few ideas, but yeah...great idea... say if you ake any progress.

I don't think you need points to evac. to another part of the map because if you haven't run into anyone and your friends need help on the other side of the map then you wouldn't be able to help them at all.

Actually I tried it this morning. you cant make detonations worth points. you cant make kills worth points in assualt. ehe map i still havent tried but it would fail due to no gametype for it.

By the way to all those who think that it would be to laggy have you heard of a game called MAG? it has 257 people game play. Take THAT! Bungie could do so much better even if they only made it 20 on 20

MAG had 256 players, and it sucked blam!

  • 04.08.2010 8:11 PM PDT

hate to break this to you but MAG is on the PS3...Halo is on the Xbox360. That is a big difference because no one has figured out how to do the whole 256 player deal and besides I would not wait 20 minutes just to find 256 players before a game starts.

  • 04.08.2010 8:12 PM PDT

you guys should take a look at the empires mod for half life 2 maybe stuff could be added from that or stuff very similiar

Ex. You get 10 kills (as you said) and imagine those 10 kills scored you 100 points. In order to open the first chain-linked fence to get to the first weapon stash, you need 150 points. Once you have 150 points, you can walk up to any of the stashes that require 150 points or less to unlock, and unlock it.

You bring up some good ideas.[/quote]Thanks for the feed back, And to be honest I like your idea more than mine.

i believe your referring to the Zombies mode from W.a.W. a.k.a. not a good idea.

i say no. its too much for one game and games take up a lot of space on a disk. adding that much moar info wouldn't quite fit on tha disk

Juan Bernardo

considering nobody is going to stop and read my post I don't know whats the point in this but Ima do it anyway. Wut if you could play on a cruiser type map where you need to invade enemy cruisers with ships such as pelicans, banshees, hornets, falcons, spirits, phantoms, and new and old air units to invade a cruiser. It will kinda be like a space battle. This is just another idea but you could invade a base and capture a spot to spawn teammates there. Eventuallu you have to take over the whole ship. I think that this idea may be altered to peoples liking andthis could be a fun game.

  • 04.08.2010 8:32 PM PDT

I intend to live forever, or die trying,

so far, so good.

Yes, this would be sweet, but seem REACH has been confirmed to be a max of 16 players :(.

I really would like to see in future A Battlefield Halo game, and your idear would fit perfectly into that.

The cool thing about my signature is that once you figure out that it doesn't say anything, it's too late to stop reading it.

It's a great idea.

I would change, as you anticipated, the part where we go and buy weapons with our points. Inside the Cruiser, there are numerous weapon stashes locked in chain-linked fences that become available every time you get a certain number of kills.

Each weapon stash, depending on how easy it is to unlock, would hold specific weapons (the stash that requires 100 points would hold ARs, Maulers, SMGs, and Frag Grenades. The last one that requires 100,000 points would hold a Spartan Laser, a few Swords, and a Missile Pod) These are just examples.

You bring up some good ideas.

I think that the scoring should be combined into team scoring, and once the team scores enough, the fences would be unlocked permanently, and the whole team would have access to the weapons inside. I also think there would be enough weapons in each stash for the whole team i.e. 20 assault rifles, 20 pistols, etc.

Bungie could make a second disk like ODST

Your idea is awesome! I just wonder if Bungie would consider doing this, they don't really have much time left for something this extraordinary.

Maybe you should take it to 343 representative. I dunno how though.

But really nice idea, you put alot of thought into it, and it seems pretty balanced.

A great quote from every great action movie ever... EVER!

I remember this being an idea for ODST in the forums... It would work less with the theme now, BUT... It's a good idea.
If you could choose between the two standard starting weapons before you leave that would be excelent, also the part where you start in a cruiser seems like a spawning ground for people and feuds; You'd be up there and be arguing with someone before the game much like a lobby but now you can run up an hit the guy your talking to without the fear of enemies hitting you while you're messing around, just my idea...
