I've nothing to suggest, but it sounds like a great idea! I enjoy the overall tone of the thread(very little trolling and flaming), though I will admit, I only read the first two pages. I also enjoy your responses to posters. Good job!

Halo 3 "Forever"

Cool, no wait better.

  • 05.04.2010 5:09 PM PDT

it would be awesome if the score changed depending on how many players there were. and also instead of having a shop you could stop the respawn timer to customize your loadouts with new weapons and crap from more like a virtual store.

Halo 3 "Forever"

Tis okay, but maybe you should have the person be able to drop in their HEV pod where ever they wanted on the map. Ah maybe instead of calling in vehicles you should put them in the caches so that the game would be less laggy and you make you play harder.

Also to add another twist their should be a way to conquer the other teams ship. So that they would not be able to get to their weapons/vehicles caches. But this would come with a price your items in your caches will cost more. But where would the other team spawn? On the boring ground doesn't that suck. Also the other team should be able to fight for their ship back because that wouldn't be fair.

i really like this idea and hmm maybe im thinking to far out or making halo less seroius but say u were an elite and u had a plasma wepon maybe if u had the points u could choose what color the plasma would be...its just an idea...and another would be since its Reach u would have to buy the get pack and stuff like that and u would start out with sprint and u could buy the cloak and jetpack etc.

You should gather everyone's ideas that we agree are the best and email the final idea to Bungie and ask them to review it.

  • 05.04.2010 5:42 PM PDT

Hi I like poop, OFWGKTA, and I'm Macedonian

Thats a great idea but it would take alot of work. it should be like part of a city. you can go in buildings(tight places) or stick outside(turrets, snipes, vehicles

Lorne Park SPARTANS!

May I first say that this is probably the best I idea I have ever read.

May I also, however, follow up by saying that it MIGHT be a bit of a tall order.

It would involve a lot of code that doesn't exist in the game that bungie has already created. It would take a LOT of work.

If you think you can get 'em to make it though, I will freaking love this game.

What are you doing here?

I like the idea, and to me, I think that it should be made much longer, and with more add-on objectives, like Invasion from Halo Reach. Like while your fighting, one team could get some sort of Intel from the enemy team, so they have to get it back to the ship while protecting it, while the enemy team tries to destroy it. Or one team can escort some super smart scientist AI bot back to their "base," while the other team tries to kill him. If Bungie does make it into a playlist, I think it could be a twice a month kind of game type. I also think that there should be certain maps, VERY LARGE maps. Maybe a miniature version of the destroyed New Mombasa city in H3: ODST. It could slowly rotate from day to night.

It sounds like a pretty good idea for the most part. I like the idea of really big teams. Something really intense like that would be fun.

  • 05.04.2010 8:14 PM PDT

my opinion is mine so EAT MY GRAV HAM!!!

This is a cool idea but the sheer size and overall complexity your speaking of would be such a job it probally wouldnt make it in the game though I voted yes doubt that it would but its awsome fun idead :)

  • 05.05.2010 4:26 AM PDT

i love this idea it would make reach like the best game in the world lol maybe u should work for bungie :)

  • 05.05.2010 5:22 AM PDT

A bit like crysis multiplayer but its great, especialy love the big team with slayer and a objective. Should add pelicans or phantoms to quick transport vehicles and personel. Way to go, would love to see it if it is possible!

  • 05.05.2010 5:53 AM PDT

that would be awesome if you could call in 1 airdrop per player per game. they would send either a pelican or a phantom down to drop the stuff of your chouce.(vehicles, weapons, etc)

  • 05.05.2010 8:40 AM PDT

Dude, The idea is great and looks awesome but I don't think bungie can make it for autumn or maybe yes.
My point is it might take extra time for the game to come out if this happens.
I want this to happen hell yeah, if bungie is able to make it by then.

EDIT:Figure I'll not give you a dickhole answer...

If there is different squads in each side, then each squad should have a little objective for themselves (shown in the top corner with a checkbox), more points (for ingame guns) and exp (for leviling up) for the squads that complete their objectives.

So 4 or 5 objectives for each side (depending on squad size). maybie the objectives of the enimy could be shown aswell so as you could deny them their points.

All as a side thing around the whole 200 kills, then bomb plant thing you guys have goin on.

sounds alright except the cruiser and buying weapons it would be good if you were in an odsts drop pod flying towards a planet and thats how the game started and then you respawned like normal but isnt invasion bungies answer to this

  • 05.05.2010 12:04 PM PDT

Haven't read through all 87 pages (Good God Man...)

But this would be potentially EPIC (unless you got stuck with a bunch (meaning like 10 or so) of crap teammates)

  • 05.05.2010 1:27 PM PDT

Eh, Bungie! Why the heck can you only put a maximal of 8 weapon holders on the map in Last Resort? They are extremely useful for all kinds of things, yet 8 isn't even enough for a party of 16 people! Also I use them for floating bridges, platforms, etc. Just download my BUNKER DEFENSE map and you'll see some of all the uses I have for them! ALLOW US TO PUT MORE WEAPON HOLDERS ON ARE MAPS!!!

Rewarding people who are already pwning enemies with even more powerful weapons isn't a good idea; that just makes things get out of balance really quickly. Instead, I'd do a points system where you constantly accumulate more and more of points every second & your rate of point accumulation goes up when actively engaged in combat & down while respawning. This way everyone could eventually buy better weapons and those who are most engaged in the fighting will get the good weapons the quickest. Kills could perhaps add a negligible amount of points too, but it must not be a deciding factor in allowing people to get better weapons quickly.

Suggested Rates of Point Accumulation:
Default:     1 PPS*       (alive, but not actively engaged in combat)
Combat:   1.33 PPS   ( 1/3rd of default rate or 1 extra point per 3 seconds)
Dead:        0.5 PPS     (1/2 of default rate -- Dead & waiting for respawn)

*Points Per Second

What about not everyone goes in a HEV, maybe some guys start in a Pelican where the person with the highest rank with a microphone briefs them about the match, give pep talks, etc. Also, in the HEV, it should be like the start of ODST. And sometimes, an animated Stosh comes up on a screen in the HEV with a glitched face followed with the message "blame Stosh".
This would work well with the ideas in the Spartan Barracks Idea.

Its an Awesome idea But It Would Be Awesome If When Your team gets the bomb your teams cruiser take your team above the enemy cruiser you drop into the opposing teams cruiser using ODST drop pods or something different for elites witch lead to my next idea it would be cooler if it were Spartan Vs Elites

It's a great idea.

I would change, as you anticipated, the part where we go and buy weapons with our points. Inside the Cruiser, there are numerous weapon stashes locked in chain-linked fences that become available every time you get a certain number of kills.

Each weapon stash, depending on how easy it is to unlock, would hold specific weapons (the stash that requires 100 points would hold ARs, Maulers, SMGs, and Frag Grenades. The last one that requires 100,000 points would hold a Spartan Laser, a few Swords, and a Missile Pod) These are just examples.

Ex. You get 10 kills (as you said) and imagine those 10 kills scored you 100 points. In order to open the first chain-linked fence to get to the first weapon stash, you need 150 points. Once you have 150 points, you can walk up to any of the stashes that require 150 points or less to unlock, and unlock it.

You bring up some good ideas.

this would be a cool game mode especialy with somthing like this
