i think the points to open the weapons cache thing would be cool and also i would say the max people per team should be 20 andthe minimum 5. besides that i think it would be ENTIRELY AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

wouldn't loads of vehicles and every power weapon be a bit hectic. Besides you would get tones of noobs. if you only have certain vehicles and weapons for the difrent game modes it would be a great game mode.

i loved this idea when i saw it months ago some of the stuff i saw in reach like weapon drops ,multiobjective game modes, two man teams,picking load outs, and certain amount of kills unlocks things(invasion slayer)

Im voting no for this reason; too good to be true. and the game would be unbalanced.

If i put 5 scorpions on a map for each team. do you think that it would be a nice battle, or a rowdy one? people would steal veichles, teamkill for them, list is countless.

this would mainly be a waste of time because they will most likely release something similar to the sandbox map in halo 3 and YOU can make "the perfect map".

i think the cruiser should drop you off in drop pods and the team would be spead out through out the map them the team leader(highest ranked person on team) marks a rally point and the team meets there

N4zi Zombies, its a mini-game mode you unlock in CoD5. But its nothing like this idea, so I have no idea why he mentioned it.

i like the idea i think you should have be both air and ground combat "i got the idea from a modded version of starwars battle front games" where both ships are hovering above the map the teams break up into two groups one flying and fighting and the other on the ground fighting, when you get to the assumed amount of points you have a choice of things to do such as assult-where you have to get into the the enemy ship and blow it up with a set of bombs. territories where each team has to deffend their own ship wile trying to cap the other teams with a set of cap spots on each ship. and capture the flag/ship commander/captin where the flag is a ship captin and you have to capture him/her and return him/her to your ship to win. the wepon idea is a little risky though it could work but restriked the ammount of ammo it carries like rockets get only one clip ect. and the point values can only get you into some specific parts of the ship (such as pelican bays so you can call in air drops) until you reach the second half of the game where sertain things wont work like the pelican bays due to useasge on the besigeing of the enemy ship

when i say unlock new areas on you own ship i mean areas you are restriked in the begging of the game and would give you a small advantage in the game example have 3,000 points you can unlock say the fighter hanger and beable to go in there as you pleas and see the other half of the team and get a fighter and fight in the air, or have 50,000 point to unlck the the pelican bay and be able to use air supply drops but as the game continues in to the different phases things you have unlocked might not be usable anymore such as pelican bays dude to them being used to fight the enemy ship in other game modes. and some place hold better tacticle advanages when deffendin your own ship for instance say the enemy is about to get to the control brige of the unsc ship and u have 45,500 points you can open the security doors and start spawning in there and protect the bridge but only those who have unlocked it can only spawn there are have access to it. as for the wepon amory you can also for a price beable to change your amor ablity but it counts as picking a wepon so be wise when doing so

i voted yes, i love it, but what you're suggesting is already in place with invasion slayer, but without the points system. instead you have to secure 'drop zones' (unfortunately no pelican to bring in the cool toys when you secure one) that you have to secure and hold to grab weapons caches. it should be the same but having the points system just lets you choose what gets dropped, otherwise it drops a default or random setting when the pelican comes along. but, invasion slayer keeps everyone out in the open with almost no reason to go inside and give the shotgun a workout, so the bomb works well, if you have an objective inside (ie a reason to go inside) then suddenly rockets and snipers become obsolete, and shotguns and other close-up weapons more useful.

there isn't a game in the world that doesn't take a leaf out of a page of someone else's game. especially shooters. so before you start criticising and saying it's crap, why don't you come up with something COMPLETELY ORIGINAL that has no resemblence to any other game ever created, and then maybe someone will listen to you. until then, not even your own mother cares about your opinion if all you've got is 'that's crap, i don't like it'.

IDK if someone posted somthing like this (as i got to page 4/92) but about the maps, 1 could be like a smaller version of Mombasa Streets (ODST). Then Another could be like the out-skirts of the city or something. And another could be like right next to a UNSC base (like the covenant are attacking it. But I LOVE the Idea!!!!!!

Don't act like this guy doesn't know what invasion is. The OP created this thread in august of last year!! bungie probably based invasion on this thread.

Great idea!
The original invasion gametype Bungie tested let you buy weapons and vehicles. They took it out because people would just concentrate on buying stuff instead of playing.
