(WARNING! THIS IS A LONG POST. DO NOT READ IF YOU CANNOT HANDLE 2150 CHARACTERS OF MY OPINION.) It obviously needs a little tweaking, but I like the general idea. Here is my opinion on each paragraph, in order of the paragraphs.
1. I like the idea of HUGE teams, despite the fact that it may not be possible.
2. I think that dropping ODST style would be pretty cool.
3. The perfect map does seem like a cool idea. I imagine it would be sort of like swordbase, but much bigger, and designed a littler more like boneyard.
4. I used to think that 200 points was too much, but it is only ten kills per team member, so it might actually work. The idea of a bomb is pretty good.
5. I don't really like the idea of campaign scoring or a weapon shop. I think you should trash that entire paragraph.
6. I do, contrary to my response to paragraph six, like the idea of calling in pelicans with vehicles. Instead of cashing in points, I think that it should work like COD air strikes, where you can cash in killing sprees. It would work like this.
You can cash in a killing spree for a mongoose or a power weapon.
A killing frenzy for a warthog (machine gun or troop transport)
A Running Riot for a gauss warthog
A rampage for a scorpion or a hornet.
An untouchable will let you drive the pelican itself.
I know you think I'm crazy, with the idea of driving a pelican, but if bungie would make a 20-person-per-team gametype, then they could make drivable pelicans, too. Another thing: you would only be able to call in one vehicle drop per life. This is because, if you happen to be a flying ace, you could get a hornet, then get another rampage with that hornet, and another, and another until you had an army of hornets worthy of halo wars. The mongoose is an exception to that rule, because it is almost always used for transport and not combat. Also, if you got a pelican, you would only be able to use it for ten minutes. Stop complaining. If you're good enough to get an untouchable, than you can easily win the game within two minutes of getting a pelican. The pelican would also hold 6 people in the back.
Please reply if you think this is a good idea.
