An example would be this true fact.

I was once playing the level, Metropolis on Legendary, helping my Marines snipe the hell out of those respawning Jackal Snipers, when suddenly, there was a large flash, and my marines were suddenly killed.

With my Particle Beam Rifle, scope to see the culprit, I see a Guass Hog, no longer piloted by that reckless Sergeant, but instead, boarded by two elites, one on the wheel, and the other, manning the Gauss gun.

As the elites without doubt, sneered at the Demon, with incredible precision, the Elite on the Guass Gun fires a Projectile of at me, the projectile itself looked as though it were made of pure light as it came toward me, as though it were tearing the very fabric of Matter, it hit me in the face, and killed me instantly.

To this day, that remains my most memorable death in the Halo series.

In any halo game?

Cause in Halo: CE, in the Library level; I had the sword lunged towards a flood to kill it but the oracle got in the way. I hit the oracle (which did nothing) fell the ground and was killed by the flood very quickly.

Stupid Oracle.

Halo, Custom Edition for PC right? I'm just asking, so people don't get confused with your post.

Have posted this before, but, seems applicable. Got finished off by a lone Grunt in Gravemind...was about to hurl the controller, when the death cam showed him jumping and doing a fist pump in the air. Struck me so funny, my anger subsided completely. Haven't seen it since, but, how awesome is that ?

You can't use swords in halo ce for xbox, even if you did, you wouldn't even have lunge, just some auto attack you couldn't even see on your HUD.

Before I saw Cody Millers legendary run on gravemind, I thought I could handle gravemind on legendary.... Those grunts at the very beginning would always kill me, run over to my body, then make a reference to the planet of the apes movie, by saying, Quick, take my picture!

I died at least ten times from those grunts, afterward, spending another hour trying to pass that chamber...

Of course, these days, I find gravemind on legendary to be fun, but it goes to show, that grunts can be very deserving of respect on higher difficulties.

Yeah, Gravemind's beginning is totally a management thing. I hide behind the pillars and carbine/BPR the little jerks. Is doable once you get the hang of keeping one alive, gathering needler (for Brutes) and then initiating the next wave. (And figuring out that following the first Grunt to your left into the small chamber is the only safe way to start the level.) From there, it's just a pattern. There's not a lot of room for error in a Legendary no-die run. Even a Grunt can ruin your moment.

halo 2 still the best game in the series. long live halo 2.

Dam, I miss the old days playing halo 2 with my old brothers in arms. Thank you my old friends for giving me this account, I shall continue our legacy.

My most memorable death in Halo 2 was being splattered by the remains of a destroyed scorpion tank on on Quarantine Zone on legendary while attempting to hijack a ghost. That was a serious wtf how did I die moment for me. Good times.

Playing legendary on halo 2 gave me many memorable deaths. Far too many to be listed.

Well, I was doing a big single player Ghost collection on QZ and I had about 180 Ghosts. After transporting a Ghost to a spot to park it you have to walk back (in SP) to other Ghosts that need to be moved also. On one of the long walks back to get another Ghost I started daydreaming while walking, and I walked off the edge of a green pit of death and died. There are no checkpoints from the time you start a collection until you end it so I lost everything. I just sat there staring at the screen, to numb to think.

Why were you collecting all those ghosts together?

Well, I like overlapping maps. On QZ there are 6 or 7 overlapping maps where you can take a vehicle from one map to another, then go back around and see that vehicle from another map. So, this vid is not about a collection, it's about overlapping maps and their boundaries: Grumpy's Odyssey
