"It's as big a campaign as any other Halo game we've done."
"Even if you just blitz through it, it's comparable to Halo 3, well, not Halo 3, but other Halo games in length."
"If you never played the flashbacks, you could probably play 8 hours of just roaming New Mombasa and you wouldn't get bored."
Halo 1 was about 11 hours, and Halo 2 was 12 or 13, I think ODST will rival those in length.
Yeah well IMO 12/13 hours is too short for a full retail game without multi-player.
I beat Halo 3 on Legendary in like 8 hours though.
People were eager to buy Halo 1 for $50 when all it had was a long-campaign. The local multiplayer is only going to be played once or twice a week. Firefight is like Halo 1's multiplayer in the sense that it has no matchmaking, but it can still be played with online friends. And there are also 3 new maps for Halo 3. It's worth the price.
There had never been a game like Halo 1 before....and no the MP in Halo 1 was worth it. Before Xbox live I went over to peoples houses like 2-3 days a week just to play video games. So I played for like 20 hours a week.
And Firefight doesn't have MM...and you can't do 4 players on 1 Xbox.
Maybe I should add in the fact that Halo 3: ODST won't reuse a level 2 times, so every level is something new, and there is also the aspect of free roam when playing as the Rookie. With Firefight, you'll probably end up playing that 20 hours each week like you did with Halo, and there are also 3 new Halo maps thrown in. So a higher-quality campaign, new maps, and as much multiplayer as Halo: Combat Evolved, and only $10 more.
