You can never succeed if you never try.

Since ODST will come with all the maps released for Halo 3 will it be okay if i delete the data of the old ones from my hard drive? Because i don't want to lose some of the maps i have made. Will the maps i have made carry over even if i delete the originals from my hard drive?

I would think they would considering that forge is exactly the same as in Halo 3 but I'm not sure

There is no point of deleting the maps because with ODST you get a disk that you use to download the maps to your hard drive anyway. You would just delete the maps to download them again.

You'll be able to access the map variants you've made using the second disc of Halo 3: ODST. Therefore, it's alright to delete the map packs if you'd like to free up some space of your hard drive.

Wrong. The disc contains the entire Halo 3 multiplayer experience. You put the disc in, and play multiplayer from there. No downloading.
