I cannot believe this -blam!-. NO ONE NEEDS 100 FRIENDS, it is that simple. I can't believe Halo 2's end is coming by the way of this stupid BULL -blam!-.No one needs Halo 2, either. What's your point?hope it dies out. Bungie failed big time on halo 2.
Too bad Halo 2 made Bungie and the Xbox big.
if it werent for halo 2 halo 3 wouldnt have sold MILLIONS OF COPIES THE MINUTE IT CAME OUT halo 2 helped halo 3, bungie and microsoft get big
And Halo 1 helped Halo 2... It doesn't matter if those games helped. They're old. Get the new ones. The computers back in the 1950's that filled up entire rooms, they helped modern computers get to where they are today. But you don't see people complaining when they got rid of those old computers for the new smaller ones today. Same thing with Halo 2 and Halo 3. The majority of xbox live players aren't complaining about halo 2 being shut down. In fact, a lot of people would rather have more than 100 friends on xbox live than keep halo 2 multiplayer. And just to voice my opinion, Halo 3 has a better multiplayer. It's the exact same as Halo 2 except it has more features and gametypes. And to add to the Halo 3 multiplayer experience, you have Forge, Theater Mode, more custom gametypes like infection, and online 4-player campaign co-op. Halo 2 didn't even have half that stuff.
Halo 2 is more about matchmaking. But Halo 3 is more about everything else and its matchmaking is no different than Halo 2. It works exactly the same way. I really don't understand why people prefer Halo 2 matchmaking over Halo 3. I mean Halo 2 was a great game, but nothing stays great forever. Halo 3 is the great game now. And in a couple of weeks, it Halo 3: ODST will be the next great game.
You see, keeping Halo 2 on xbox live is holding back progress. PS3 and Wii both let people have over 100 friends or so I hear. Everyone has to let go eventually. Just like when we switched from analog tv to digital tv a few months ago. People had to let go. Same with old computer monitors and flat screen monitors. You have to let go and accept new things. New is almost always better. So that's my opinion.
I'd like it if Halo 2 could stay on xbox live. But if it's really preventing Microsoft from improving Xbox Live, then it has to go.
