Subject: Halo 3 campaign should be included in the 2nd disk of ODST.

Who agrees, it would stop complaining, and why is everything else from halo 3 on the second disk without the campaign? In a way it was smart, though, because all the people who buy ODST and dont have halo 3 will have to buy halo 3 or at least rent it to get the campaign achievments, thoughts?

Well the campaign is a pretty big part of the game. If they included that what would be the point in even still selling halo 3 if people could get it by buying Odst.I imagine they'd loose money.

Come back when you get that bullet out of your head...

I agree, its a great marketing ploy on Bungie's part. The Halo 3 Campaign was great, but including it with ODST would insure that they would never sell another copy! Two $60 games in one case? Not a good idea. Plus, gamers who buy OSDT will have more than enough to work with with the ODST campaign and Firefight.

"Things are never as they seem..."

I just wish that they had put everything on one disc.... something that would happen if we had a next gen disc format. I really don't like having to switch discs. Hopefully the downloadable version will have everything on the same game.

Why not stop by my File Share while you're here?

Only regret is I didn't play more of it.

If you haven't noticed by now, I'm sort of a jerk.

no

Hey Bob, what are those things jumping across the rooftops like majestic warriors dressed as Spartans with their heads on fire?

Oh, that's just the Bungie ninjas. Mess with them and they'll bring a hammer down on your head that's so big, they have to keep it on Jupiter 'cause it won't fit on Earth.

I have a better idea. Go buy Halo 3.

ODST is really for people who already have halo 3 and have beaten the campaign. i think they put all the maps on there for people who dont have the legendary or mythic map packs, and people who have scratched up disks to the point where certain original maps wont load. plus..there isnt enough room on there to also fit the halo 3 campaign

Dude I don't care and my grammer is perfect.I used "Big", as you recall it to mak is specific."to not do...",is incorrect beause "do" is present tense/perfect(or future) when it was a past tense.

Bungie's not going to release a 60 dollar game, another 60 dollar game, and 40 dollars worth of maps for 60 dollars.

I swear to DRUNK, I'm not GOD!

well... I think they have to have room on that second disc for the Halo Reach multiplayer thing...

Which is supposed to be a completely new game, with a new engine, a new look, etc. So... I dunno what to expect from that, but it would probably take up a great deal of space.

RAWR!

well the second disc is suppose to improve lag and make games load the maps faster cause there wont be campaign, plus what if someone bought halo 3 ODST and halo 3 in the same day!?

  • 08.13.2009 10:24 PM PDT

Go Rams and Missouri!

They would need 3 discs for that. With Halo 3, Bungie said they were pushing the limit with the disc. With 24 maps, there isn't enough room for a campaign or anything big like that. On the first disc, they have ODST's campaign, which was revealed today to rival the campaign of the first two games in terms of length, and there is Firefight with 10 maps. I don't think there is room on either disc for Halo 3's campaign.

Here’s what Luke had to say about the differences in treatment between the Spartans and Elites in Reach:

“Instead of piece-by-piece customization like the Spartans, Elite customization is a full model swap with models selected from the various Elite classes appearing throughout the Campaign. There are all kinds of reasons for this, not the least of which is our continued emphasis on the Spartan as your identity in Reach.”

Well the campaign is a pretty big part of the game.
And by far not the best.

are you retarded?, if they included campaign, then odst would come with the entire halo 3 disk

  • 08.13.2009 10:33 PM PDT

5 years and counting on Bungie. I feel old and worthless.

I personally think that they should re-release H3 with all of the downloadable content and H3:ODST that comes with it, but still release H3:ODST sandalone.

Bungie's not going to release a 60 dollar game, another 60 dollar game, and 40 dollars worth of maps for 60 dollars.

The ODST disc isn't worth $60 by itself, its $60 because it includes the halo 3 multiplayer, and halo 3 isn't worth 60 dollars anymore, its 30 dollars now. Also the map packs are only like 27.5 dollars. Still a good value for those who don't have halo.

I think that they should include the campaign, then you could give a halo disc to a friend or sell it, but then again that would cost them money, so its not going to happen.

1. Major loading issues. I'd rather not wait 42 hours for it to load something.
2. No downloadable version, ODST is only in disc format. Three new maps won't be either, they're only on Halo 3: Mythic (disc 2).
