You can't kill what's dead.

This is a tiny idea, but could be well worth bringing up. The one thing I saw as a flaw in Theatre was the ability to not play several film clips at once and the fact that you couldn't record from several points. For Halo: Reach, I would like to see the ability to string multiple clips into one video. So, let me explain. You start off loading one clip, then, in a separate menu, you can choose to import another video that will be tagged on to the end of the current video. Then, with new effects features added, you can add transitions, effects (think effects on the Halo 3 maps, only now you can choose to put them in a video if they weren't on the map), etc as you please in an interface similar to Sony Vegas. Or, if you just want to make a quick montage, you can just add all of your clips into one video then save, the clips you add would just be added to the timeline and would play in the order that you added them.

Now let me explain the "several points" thing. While recording a clip, you can pause the recording, pick a different angle, then start recording again, but it will be in one clip instead of separate ones like Halo 3. And you can have the option to rewind and record in order to get the same event from different angles.

Ugh...

First on a BWU.. yeah, I'm cool.

ODST;MYTHIC Screenshot winner! One of the first to get their hands on the mythic map pack.

Huh? Has anyone here played "SKATE"? Do you know how that camera worked, it would be pretty cool if we could record like that too.

I don't think the recorder was that extensive. But then again, I've never played SKATE, but I did hear some good things about the theater mode, so maybe some of those features should be in Halo: Reach.

I don't quite understand. Do you mean like a clipboard like in WM Maker?

Sort. Like, let's say you want instead of having two separate clips, you want to make them into one clip. All you would have to do is start one of the clips up in theater, then, in the theater menu, you can choose to import another clipped that will be added to the end of the first clip. Then, when you save it, put it on your fileshare, then have your friends download, it will play as one clip. The first one will play then the second one will start right after.

As for the second thing, you know how you record clips in theater from a pre existing video? Well, you can't record multiple clips and make one video with them. In order to do that, you'd need to render the clips on your computer than put them together in a program, then post it on the internet. For example, let's say you got a really two really good snipes and you want to record those, but you want to get each one from a separate angle without having to move the camera WHILE recording. Now, you can record the first snipe, pause, move to the second one, then start recording again, and it appears as one recording.

So your talking about some sort of in game film editor? I can see this as possible. DRIV3R had a theater replay mode that allowed you to take many different camera angles in one clip and control camera speeds and such. If a sub-par game like DRIV3R could do it (this game was not very well developed to say the least), then I'm sure Bungie could find a way.

It's most likely going to happen. I just wanted to bring it up and get responses.
