One thing I hate when playing Halo Multi-Player, is the Auto-Aim system.

How many times have you been having a BR contest, and another enemy walks between your line of fire. You will automatically follow that person, and will have to re-target the person you were shooting at. Usually by this time, he has allready shot you dead.

I find the Auto-Aim really really annoying, and would like a option to disable it.

Do you agree?

Please reply with your thoughts thankyou.

I mean when a enemy crosses your line of fire, you will automatically track that person. Even if you were shooting at another enemy. This can be really annoying espeacially if a ghost goes boosting pass. As you were track that ghost, and be off target even more.

Having an option to disable Auto-Aim, You would have this problem, as your curser will only go where you aim it. I have died many times because of this Auto-Aim, or my enemy has been able to get away.

Try playing a custom game, and have a enemy run in circles around, and you don't touch your controller, you will track them. Very Annoying.

Please Bungie give us a option to disablt this.

Yes. When I move the right stick to the right, I expect to look right, not left.

And that got even more annoying when I was unlocking Annual, because my ghost would track the flood spores and force me to drive off of the edge in those tunnels.

I personally wouldn't want nor do the auto aim turn off. A little difficult to aim with a controller when you don't have any training wheels.

It seems like a lot of people want it so I say if it's possible, and effective, it should be implemented. There seems to be enough demand, so why not supply.

Not sure how difficult it would be to implement this into the game but it seems easy to me. I'm not a game programmer so I wouldn't know.

You should be able to select or un-select the option in Controller Settings.

I know games like Unreal, has the ability to turn on and off auto-aim.

Oel ngati kameie, oe omum nga, oe ’efu nga.

IMO auto aim isnt a good idea at all, it lets beginners be just a little better so they get kills that they really dont deserve, if your playing competitive like some people then auto aim is almost like a cheat

Then the experience would probably be a little more frustrating. When shooting someone, the one with aim-assist would definitely have the upper hand. And times like that would happen much more frequently than when an enemy runs by you mid-firefight.
Just as an experiment, I played a team-killing match in Halo 3, because there is no aim-assist on teammates. It is a lot harder.
And considering that Halo doesn't really have an iron sighting feature...

I see your point. If Bungie can make the game smarter, and realize what target you are shooting at, and if another target runs between, still stay focused on your original target, would fix this problem. And you would still have that slight assist of Auto-Aim.

Also I am asking for an option to be able to turn it Off and On in the settings. If the game becomes too hard, turn it back on.

This would be great for games like SWAT and MLG, because it wiuld be true skill with no assist from the auto-aim.

To be honest, I always thought Halo had just the right amount of auto-aim.
If the game was slower paced, more precise aiming would be a bigger part of the game, but I believe Bungie wants the game to keep moving forward.
But just for the more competitive players, maybe Auto-aim should be toned down a bit.

You will die more without it - keeping your crosshair on the enemy isn't the only part of the aim assist anyways.
