Would you like to be able to set sensitivity of individual weapons?

I have always thought how great it would be, that when I picked up the Sniper Rifle, My sensitivity would auto change to 2, then I change or pick up s Shotty/Sword. My sensitivity changes to 7.

I think an easy way to have this, is to have catogory for weapon types.

Close Range Sensitivity = Shotty, Sword, Mauler, Hammer.
Mid Range - AR, BR, Carbine, Plasma Rifle.
Long Range - Sniper, Beam Riffle.

Etc. You can change a class, and when you pick up or change a weapon from that class, your sensitivity will automattcally change to what you have set.

I would really like to see this in future games. Would you?

There are two things on this forum that piss me off;
Idiots and group invites.
What's even worse, is that I can never seem to get away from either of them ¬_¬

Nice idea. It's only problem may be that people will find it unfair. But then, you can;t escape from idiots, can you? Heh

I don't see you doing anything to help our country.
Except sitting at home, naked, eating twinkies, rubbing your hands together going "Heh. Target Destroyed. Mission Accomplished." Oh wait. that's not helping.

I don't see how anyone can think that, i mean you can do it by yourself now

Very cool idea!

I don't now people would find it unfair, because they also can set thire prefered sensitivty for each weapon or weapon class.

But yes, better players would benifit more, but so would the lesser player.

Some people might be super awsome with the sniper, but have thire sensitivity set to 1, but makes them useless at all other weapons, they would benifit from this system greatly.

I know I would. I will sometimes change my sensitivity mid game, to shoot better with the sniper. this normmaly gets you killed, if your not careful, then you need to change back, if you die, or run out of ammo.

This system would stop that.

Wort Wort Wort???

Also, hilarious quote:

True. Now that I think about it having the -blam!- beat out of you with a pool ball in a tube sock by your degenerate pimp is the better choice.

.

Very good idea. Its comparable to a racing game, where you obviously would tune your car MUCH differently for a drag racing event than you would for a drift event.

Yeah, I know it isn't unfair. But you know people these days, they find reasons to hate on anything and everything. It'll probably boil down to 'OMG, that means he can snipe me better but still use the shotgun well, that's so unfairz!'.

But hopefully this will get implemented.

I know what you mean, and yes better players would love this, but it would improve the lesser player so all win. And if I was one of the lesser players, I would still prefere this. As I be much better with the sniper, and shotty, as I would sensitivity for sniper at 2 or 3, and Shotty at 7 or 8. That is a big difference in turning speeds.

Thire be nothing to get confused about, you would chnage these settings in the same area you goto to change your sensitivity.

You would just see a another section to this to change weapon class or weapon sensititvity. Or you could leave it at default, which would be 3, just like it is now.

I like the idea, but keeping with current trends I'm inclined to say something like:

"Halo should be Halo. If they put this in Halo they'd be copying my Razer Lachesis gaming mouse that has multiple control profiles so I can set the sensitivity for whatever weapon I currently have! Just like every other idea on these forums is just copying some other game, making it less like Halo!!!111ONE!"

But really, I'd love if they added this. It's stupid to have my sensitivity set to 3, then move into CQB, and get skrewed because I can't turn around, or even look up fast enough to keep track of the guy jumping over my head.

Nah just think about this:

You're fighting with a 1 look sensitivity weapon. Surprise attack, and you switch to a 10 sensitivity weapon mid-look. All of a sudden your look would swing to one side violently, -blam!- your day up.

I'm not saying it's a bad idea, and if some people would want to use it, go right ahead. But me personally, nah. I think it'd just be too complicated.

Yes, you do make a good point. I would still prefere it, but Yes, intacnes like that, could cause you more grief than good if swapping from a sniper to shotty, and you then over-spin. But all advantages must have a disatvantage.

And I think you found it. I didn't think of that.

Plus, if you learn to use a sniper at 10 sensitivity, you'll be better off in the long run =).

Higher sensitivity = Faster Reaction time.
