I hunt for the Prophet of Contentment, the San 'Shyumm that murdered my son, and stole his birthright, his Energy Sword. They call our species Heretics. They claim to all that our tongues sting, our words a vile poison that feeds on the unworthy. I have seen the true face of Heresy. The head of a gallant warrior lay on the ground. His neck scorched and blistered, scarred by his own blade. I shall retrieve the weapon, and drive it through that bastard's heart! Punishment for his sins is nigh.

Firefight is fine, There were no flood on earth at the time though, so in Campaign it would be stupid.

  • 08.15.2009 3:37 AM PDT

Sorry bud, no dice.

And no Flood, either.

  • 08.15.2009 3:48 AM PDT

Sure.

Let me just remind everyone that, being an ODST, and not a Spartan, you have no energy shields to protect you from being infected...

So, one, little tiny infection form, could kill you and turn you into the flood at any time...

.......................you're annoying......

Would be kinda fun to fight against the flood, have to avoid those infectious forms where fighting.Still its possible in firefigh. As for campaign, highly unlikely.Unless it lasts till halo 3 to the level FLOODGATE,or you travel to delta halo(also highly unlikely).

I don't mind that it makes the game a bit more intense, also nobody can confirm or deny the existence of lfood as the game could go forward as far as the halo 3 earth campaign does.

There is no way the Flood could possibly fit into Halo 3: ODST. And I would not like to see them in Firefight. Not to say I don't enjoy punching their guts out, though.

But you know what would be cool to happen once in awhile, maybe even rarely?

You're sneaking around a group of brutes and grunts. Big deal, right? You're about to take a brute down with your sniper, but omg! 3 Elites that have somehow survived the slipspace rupture and the hours of brute patrols come out and ambush the Covenant group! And then you watch in the shadows as the Elites kick some gorilla ass and walk back into the building they came from. You then think, I'm not going in there.

=)

RAWR!

how about neither!!!! like seriously you would die in 2 seconds.

I hate it when people are dumb like this. If more than 10% of halo players actually payed attention to the storyline instead of just blatently playing the campaign, skipping through every cutscene, they would know that the flood never spread to New Mombasa.

Please stop posting this crap, im tired of these forums

Armor Lock isn't overpowered. You just suck at Reach :)

Reach isn't bad, you're just a BK :)

For my gamertag, look up "Ghoulishtie"

Where is the "none" option?

Flood in Firefight would be cool, it would add a certain Fear Factor to it.

They won't be in either, and I don't want them in either.

Your friendly and eccentric Sangheili forum-poster. :)

I'd love 3 sided battles. That battle that took place in the Mausoleum of the Arbiter, in Halo 2. Amazing.

Edit: Sorry, I never posted which one I voted for. Firefight.

That would actually be very funny, and awesome at the same time. Of course since they're not on your side during that time you'd still have to keep your distance from them.

Spartans are from Venus and Elites are from Uranus

It doesnt fit the canon. The Flood didn't arrive on earth until Halo 3. In Halo 3 the ship master/spec ops commander had to glass half of Africa just to wipe out the flood on earth. ODST takes place in Africa. If the flood had payed a visit to earth prior to Halo 3, there have been evidence of it. So it's not happening in campaign.

And honestly, I hate the flood. So I hope they aren't in ODST. And if that holds true it just maybe my favorite halo game. They aren't fun enemies to fight at all if you ask me. Just like zombies the only challenge to fighting the flood is when they run at you in hordes. They don't fight intelligently. If I wanted to fight a bunch of retards I'd go play Left 4 Dead.

It woulden't make any canon sense and would make firefight to hard.

Wheres the "You idiot, the flood isn't in ODST at all, so the maker of this thread should of thought of that befor making this thread." button?

  • 08.15.2009 9:33 AM PDT

yes I backed over the vampire... but I swear I didn't see him in the rear view mirror!

ODST takes place before the flood came to earth, having the flood in either one would make no sense... and I hope they dont decide to throw them into firefight.... I HATE THE FLOOD!!

  • 08.15.2009 9:54 AM PDT

bungie confirmend there are no flood in odst
