Well if you have been keeping up with the Previews you would see that there is a Approved Campaign Level named - Rooftops.

If you look at the name compared to when Buck and Romeo are on the Roof in the ViDoc at 0:11 in this video - Halo 3: ODST ViDoc - Desperate Measures Do you think that there the same levels?

I would like to hear your thoughts on this.

I sure do.

I don't think the level itself is called Rooftops. I mean, I've seen the achievements myself and Romeo's mission and that one there is clearly NMPD HQ. There is no 'level' called Rooftops.

However, it does sound similar to the old internal codenames for missions. For examples, Sierra 117 used to be called 'Jungle'. Which makes sense right? Its set in/involves a Jungle.

I think Rooftops is probably just the codename for NMPD HQ.

The person who said participating is important, not winning, obviously never won anything.

Maybe, if you think about it, the level is called Rooftops, and their on Rooftops, but who knows, maybe its the Rooftop of the ONI alpha site, couse at 3:17 you can see the Emblem of ONI

The fight has been complete.... now get the cookies!

While we certainly share your enthusiasm for the return, we here at the Bungie.net community are mostly made up of snarky asses and jerks who will ridicule you for making a thread about something revealed months ago. We regret that your innocent intentions will almost certainly be replied with anger and sarcasm, and politely invite you to don your Flame-suit, because you just did the internet equivalent of jumping up the Construct lifts.

Chapter in the mission?

It might be a second mission as Romeo? As i remember the live demo trailer, Joseph said something along the lines of " you play as each character at least once in the game" So maybe you play some characters a flashback more or two than others?

Dude I don't care and my grammer is perfect.I used "Big", as you recall it to mak is specific."to not do...",is incorrect beause "do" is present tense/perfect(or future) when it was a past tense.

Yes. The gamepro article from a while back details that cutscene, then says something along the lines of "we were then put in romeo's boots, running across rooftops".

I'm pretty sure all the levels are a firefight map just in a different form. But yeah that part with romeo and the other ODST might be rooftops.

Let Sgt. Johnson die on Halo.

Look closer, you'll see that Rooftops was on his Recent Games for Firefight.

Rooftops is a Firefight level.

And all Firefight Maps are based off Campaign.

This means that it is closely related to Campaign.

No, it wasn`t. Campaign was highlighted in that screenshot. Firefight was outlined in blue, as in a link.

Ohhhhhhh, I totally looked at that wrong, haha.

I think Rooftops is just a codename....then again I'm not sure.

I swear to DRUNK, I'm not GOD!

That makes sense, given that it did look like they were pretty high up in the ViDoc, and I guess an ideal level where you play as the sniping character would be one where you're up on a high vantage point, laying down covering fire for ODSTs/Marines/Civilians being attacked by covenant.

Although, I wouldn't expect a level like that to just be a 'shoot fish in a barrel' level where there's no threat to you or anything. You'll probably have to look out for banshees or wraiths or enemies on the rooftops, or even drones.
