"HE CAN'T BE STOPPED!!! IT ONLY MAKES HIM STRONGER!!!"
A great quote from every great action movie ever... EVER!

I know you will not be fighting elites in ODST, but will you be fighting along side them? Based on the story I doubt this, but I would still like to ask.

Stacked!

would say no

  • 08.14.2009 9:36 AM PDT

No you won't fight alongside them, it's too early in the storyline.
I'm pretty sure you won't see a single Elite. Maybe an easter egg.

Typical Halo nerd. Move along.

No on both. At this point, Elites are still your enemy.

No, unless there is a time skip in the story that lasts many days. But I doubt it, so no.

Gears of war 3 looks amazing i can't wait for halo 4 master chief is a pretty cool guy he kills aliens and doesn't afraid of anything

nope. cause elites are gaining forces and they only become freinds or allies in halo 3 just to kill the prophet

  • 08.14.2009 10:31 AM PDT

bungie has confirmed there are no elites in odst or flood (yay)

This man, this man right here put it so eloquently that I actually cancelled my own 2000+ word long post.
/slow clap for respect

:)
The person who said participating is important, not winning, obviously never won anything.

I wish, i loved fighting with them in Halo2 (Arbiter)

BNET,is not safe..

I think if the elites are not in ODST,the game won't feel proper because ODST is set mid halo 2 to 3 and when you think about it there are no brutes in new mombassa in halo 2 also if we do get to see elites,i hope bungie bring back their halo 1 and 2 armour,if not i'm sure most of us will not be mentally feeling ODSTs story and game play.

  • 08.14.2009 10:48 AM PDT

I don't think they'll be your ally, cause the friendship with the elites is just during the flood outbreak on earth and that doesn't happen during the game. I hope you can find some dead elite bodies in New Mombassa tough. That would be realistic to the story, cause in Halo 2 you killed a lot of elites in New Mombassa.

there is no elites because they are on your side. it aint in halo 3 they become allies with the UNSC, they do it in the middle of halo 2 and halo 3 and ODST is 2 or 3 weeks b4 halo 3 so they are your allies then. also if they arent, we would of seen them in firefight but there not. so they hav made an alliance with the UNSC when ODST is set

Go Rams and Missouri!

Brutes were dropped in instead of Elites because Truth was replacing them slowly with the more manipulable Brutes. However, the Elites are still in the Covenant at this point.

No because the Covenant haven't turned on the Elites yet at this point in the story.
Fix'd

Not fully true. Dropping Brutes into New Mombasa was one of the earliest acts by The Prophet of Truth to switch out the Elites in favor of the easily-manipulable Brutes. The Elites were also starting to figure out that Prophets were lying to them and that the entire Great Journey was a lie.

Actualy the elites allied with the humans near the end of halo 2 just as johnson confronted the arbitar and dont think it was at the time when gravemind held chief and arbitar also bungie are good at holding secrets, remember bungie give it but can take it back and i doubt they will blind them selfs from this.

they won't be even dead bodies of elites cause in timeline it is after halo 2 and few weeks before halo 3 begins so no you shall not find an elite body unless bungie want to put an easter egg thing like the red vs blue on crows nest
