I mean by "war" like feeling that the bullet holes will never disappear, the buildings would take little damage ( Cracks, Dents etc.) but whole walls wouldnt come off. ( Would ruin gameplay in Halo i think.)
Wreckages and bodies wouldnt disappear and by meaning of that they would stay there until the game ends.
The bodies would fly less and would have ability to splatter.
And for vehicles they should get bullet holes. It looks stupid when after lots gun fire ( From Ar or BR) to Warthog, it looks like an crusher crane have hit it!
And cooler "death" animations for vehicles would be nice. For example if flying Hornet have had enough hits it would normally just "pop". What if the killer bullet determites how it "dies" ( Death animation) ?
Like if it hits on the left motor of the Hornet it would go spinning and crashes and then explodes? (Like with helicopters when RPG or large bullet hits in tail rotor.)

it would be interesting but all of the wreckage over time would cause the game to lag I'm not sure on the new engine being used for Reach but still with all the bodies and carnage would cause the graphics to overload and lag

but yes more realistic vehicle deaths like the hornet spinning and crashing would be great

its a great idea but i dont like the splattering of bodies lol. Also wouldnt the game be laggy from all the bullet holes and wreckage?

yes for most of it. except body splatter... wtf
death animations can't get worse than in any of the previous games. I mean... c'mon... I HATE the "swimming in the air after being killed by a grenade" spartan <.<

The 360 isn't that bad. It's technology may be dated compared to what's out there now, but you can still get some potential out of it.

To the OP: Yes, more war in the Covenant vs Human war is needed. I especially like the vehicle death animation idea.

My honor student can beat up your honor student.

there needs to be more damage (like bodies and vehicle wreckage) and more fighting going on in the background (Like the hornets and banshees in Crow's Nest, but on a WAY larger scale, maybe ships and fighters)

I don't think gore is that necessary. I think the "war" feeling can be created just by having decent AI battles between considerable numbers of UNSC and Covenant. As in groups of 50 vs 50. You know what I mean.

Battle damage, debris, wreckage, wounded, dead will all help too I think but the key is just having lots of humans and aliens duking it out. Scorpions pounding Wraiths. Ghosts smashing Snipers. Spartans killing Zealots. Hunters knocking down Hogs.

Marines not joking all the time would be a big factor too. Their phrases are funny but it kind of ruins the moment. I'd like to hear Marines scared, fatigued, hurt and maybe just a few jokes.
