The two children talking amongst themselves. They are LOOKING up into the night sky. The male child asks the female. "Do you ever wonder what's up there?" Female responds, "Like What?" Male responds, "Maybe Someone up there, is wondering what it's like here." Female says, " I guess, DO YOU THINK WE WILL EVER MEET THEM?" This is mentioned again as MC picks up his helmet. Male responds, "I hope so, don't you?"

Second part. Master Chief LOOKS up into the sky (Banshees fly by), and he uses his hand to block the intense glare! Master chief picks up the helmet. Clearly you can see patches of grass, which most likely, is the same location where the children were at.

Then there is chatter on the communication lines. .."Any sign of the chief?" "Negative Sarge," I think we lost him." Master Chief replies! " NOT YET!" Why would he say, "Not Yet?" He must know something!

I'm not the most educated person on the entire Halo time line, But i know the starry night commercial is screaming with information! The end of Halo 3 could in fact be Reach prior to it being attacked. Maybe MC does go back in-time! Maybe that critical line of, "Do you think we will ever meet them?" is Master Chief returning to the past at the end of Halo 3!

Starry Night Trailer

I'd like to be half-man half-tree in an octopus' garden in the shade.

Possibly. I hate how everyone says that time travel isn't a possibility, yet we know next to nothing about the game.

That's a very simple minded way of putting it. I won't believe it for a second.

then your a fool. and this was a trailer for halo 3 not reach.. your looking way into this and are letting your imagination take over what really makes sense.

  • 08.14.2009 3:07 PM PDT

AWESOME

Everything we need to know is in two books: The Fall of Reach and First Strike , The kids in the commercial for all we know could be just random children or maybe they are John and another spartan as a child... who knows the point is if you want to know about Halo:Reach read the two books I mentioned.

  • 08.14.2009 3:08 PM PDT

I'm not so sure on the time travel part, but that guy is right, we have no evidence or information hardly at all about the game. For all we know, the game could be about Reach, but not take place in the time zone or on Reach.

  • 08.14.2009 3:08 PM PDT

AWESOME

Again I say read the books I mentioned earlier they will have all you need to know about Halo: Reach

You are the fool my friend. What makes sense then? How do you explain everything i mentioned? The children talking about if they will ever meet them? Master chiefs helmet? You would rather believe the easy thing of oh he's going to die anyway. Your little mind isn't strong enough to fathom anything i mentioned here.

Maybe that's one of the chiefs memories. When he says "not yet" he is saying hes not dead yet or they haven't lost him yet.

  • 08.14.2009 3:12 PM PDT

yeah thats a possibility one day when i slept over to my friends house we were talking about that very question what is that planet and we even supposedly believe that too and we don't know alot about how much research the humans or even the elites or covenant hve don't so we don't know if time travel is even possible in the halo universe, so yeah i'd believe that :) virtual high five ! :P

  • 08.14.2009 3:12 PM PDT

AWESOME

This is the same thing that happened to Halo 3 before it came out... people came up with crazy rumors about Time travel theories... it's not going to happen please listen to me this is the last time I will say this if you want to know about what will most likely occur in the game read "The Fall of Reach" and "First Strike"

Yes for all we know the kids could be fire breathing dragons. Obviously you will just limit your mind to the books right? Why would they put the entire story in the books? What would be the point?

Starry Night is for Halo 3. Not Reach.

Time travel has been ruled out.

The end of Halo 3 shows half a frigate drifting towards a forerunner planet.

The Reach trailer shows an entire frigate cut in half over a human world Reach.

The boy and girl in the Starry Night video are not confirmed as young Spartans.

The Starry Night trailer is on Earth.

The children are naiive and optimistic, they want to meet aliens, unaware that these very same aliens will try and destroy humanity and will bring the entire species to its knees.

You yourself do not understand the trailer or what it was trying to tell us. You just think it was a cools commercial with master chief and a big bubble shield thingy.. Then he jumps into brutes, omg i wonder if he survived!

How do you explain MC's helmet? Clearly visible in TWO different time frames!

  • 08.14.2009 3:19 PM PDT

AWESOME

I'm not saying they put the WHOLE story in the books but if you want to know the General idea about what will occur in the Game then read the books, also there would be no point to writing those books if they were to change the storyline on something they already wrote down. Infact if the Chief did time travel it would make all the events that occured in all of the games pointless as well because Chief going back in time would undoubtedly change the sequence of events that occur.

Yes it is sad. You can't tolerate something that isn't easy to understand. Let me make an example...To you the sky is blue because god must give angels blue coloring crayons to color it with? Or maybe there is a scientific reason why. Either way, your will discard the scientific reason because you dont understand it.

Let me get back on track and say that i understand this is a Halo 3 commercial. BUT, there is clearly different time lines being presented to us. NOT limited to just Halo 3.

I wish i could make it a little more clear as to what i'm trying to say and not so scattered, but it all kinda hit me when i was watching it.... and its very clear the little kids are implying something about either the past or future not just related to Halo 3.

The planet at the End of Halo 3 could infact be Reach before the attack. Master Chief may have traveled back intime. The children are wondering if they will ever meet someone else out there. " Do you think we will meet them?
