The first thing I thought when I saw that Halo 3 had the different armors was that they were going to modify the game a little. Like Scout could make you run faster, just little stuff like that. Not large changes like a 300% speed bonus, just little ones like maybe 10%. I think this could be pretty cool in Reach, it'd add an extra element to the game.

My new B.net account is Grizzled Ancient. If you see him, its me.

nah i dont think that would work. would be cool... but wouldnt work. the whole thing about halo multiplayer is they make everything fair. Start with the same weapon. No advatnages. One teams by camo. the other by over shield. If you put in armor uprgrades it becomes a totally different game

No signature found. DO NOT Click here to change this.

That would be smexysauce, but they wouldn't do it. If they couldn't have it so the flame on the bungie plate stays on when they die, so the other team couldn't teabag them, I don't think they can do this.

Ugh...

First on a BWU.. yeah, I'm cool.

ODST;MYTHIC Screenshot winner! One of the first to get their hands on the mythic map pack.

It would add unbalanced gameplay. Halo has always worked on the premise that everyone at the beggining of a match starts out equal, and this only changes when you go out into the map and grab weapons/power ups, etc.

Giving these advantages and such will unbalance the game.

If the advantages are like speed or jump and not like extra lives it won't tip the fight either way. It wouldn't have to be like COD's juggernaut or Sleight of Hand. To make it fairer, an advantage could also be paired with a disadvantage, like Scout getting a speed boost and a small health reduction. Or EOD getting a explosion damage reduction and slower walking speed.
