Halo reach alone on legendary! Message me to play halo wars, too. im the only person here who likes halo wars.

ok, can someone answer me a few questions? i havent investigated halo enough to know... here are my questions:

So, we killed the covenant? what about the individual jackal, brute, and grunt planets? The Elites are still alive, right? what are they doing?

is the thing in the halo 4 trailer a portal, forerunner planet, spaceship, or something else?

Do you think that the pistol grenade launcher will be an extremely uncool weapon?

What do you think that the forerunners, precursors (or whoever the enemys may be) vehicles will be named after? In the unsc, vehicles are names after animals. Covenant vehicles are named after different kinds of ghosts ( disincluding scarab and locust). New enemy's ships? we dont know.

Arbiter was in the UNSC ship at the end of halo 3. is he in halo 4? or is there something i misunderstood?

Some of my questions could be potentially stupid, sorry. i havent understood enough if so. But the one im most interested in : where is arbiter, and the elites?

Arbiter was in the front half of the ship which made it through the portal, landed back on earth and said his final words to Lord Hood before departing to his home world.

The elites separated from the Covenant during The Great Schism . Brutes replaced the elites as Honor guards to the prophets and were soon given higher positions of power instead of elites. Around this time, Arbiter found out the truth behind the Halo rings and soon the entire elite species formed the Covenant Separatists that you see in Halo 3.

Well it has recently been confirmed or rather heavily hinted at that the Forerunners are still alive. Perhaps the LP is the last of the Forerunners colonies, it's not that much of a stretch now is it?
Bias is using/used John as way to show his former masters that he has repented and (this is just my opinion) has sent John in his place. I think John is going to be humanities ambassador to the Forerunners or perhaps simply their representative.

343 said that they would be exploring John's destiny and ultimate importance in the great scheme of things. It's seems that John is even more important than anyone of us has ever imagined. I think that the Forerunners will judge John to see if Humanity is finally ready to receive their inheritance and reclaim their rightful place in the Galaxy.

Just my thoughts on the matter.

(1) The war might or might not be over, but it surely is for the moment.(2) Elites are confused over what to do kinda, there still wondering over their religon.(3) I belive the halo 4 trailer shows Master Cheif going toward a precursor world or somthing. it might be foreruner, or, in a stretch, even covenant which its probobly not. (4) the gernade launcher pistol might be campaign and forge only, meaning its OP and fun to use. (5)interesting question. Maybe after religous terms, like "GENISIS". (6)The ship at the end of Halo 3 split in half. the arbiter went to earth i think, while master Cheif half went to the legendary planet. (7)Like i said the elites are trying to figure out where they stand. they might not even partner whith the humans, so we could have elites as enemies potentionally.

I know this has been answered already but now you have answers to the other questions, or more like speculation. :)

Some can come away from reading "War and Peace" thinking it a simple adventure story, while others can read the ingredients on a gum wrapper and unlock the secrets of the universe.

that planet is forerunner. it is like a bomb shelter from the halo rings.

  • 09.28.2011 4:44 PM PDT

the pistol grenade launcher is a new weapon masterchief somehow aquired during his long sleep like his markVII armor that he has in the trailer.

maybe they will name the new enemy vehicles after cheese. for example, "we got a provolone coming up the middle and that peper jack is creaming us."

I'm always impressed with how much effort is put into something that is only contributing a community. Good work.

I second this....

Now lets see how all of this plays out :P

"So- So this means Im just going to be miserable for the rest of time?!"

"No. This means that you have to live life to the fullest. You have one life, live it well. Make sure you die without regrets. Get a new life, new mate, new family. You, out of all people, don't deserve a terrible fate of misery like that. Having nothing to look forward to is good. It makes sure you want to keep on going. Living is a right, not a privilege."

This is why I love Halo.

Can someone care to tell me the relation between precursor and forerunner?

Precursors are more advanced in tech right? And were passed down from forerunner? Srry if I'm completely wrong lol, but I do find the halo story interesting and confusing after knowing for a while that it's much bigger than I expected...

Seeing how Augustus got a good wealth of this from conversations and leads we had over the years; he will always be around. We are much alike.

"Dude, what are you doing right now?"
"Uhh... Heh, my mom."
"Dude... What?"

Not sure if this was previously stated or not, but the Precursors are in no way of Human descent.

  • 11.09.2011 10:38 PM PDT

Precursors are actually "Trans-sentient", mean that they are basically gods. Forerunner and "the Flood" supposely decended from them but the flood is rather an experiment before the Forerunners who were successful unlike them...

You know what the halo's may be all part of the plan of the timeless one's. If he knew of its existance, mabe he allowed it to happen.

Or that the firing was only a delay on his plans. Mainly slowing his plans and he already had a backup plan.

although on final thought i think that halo 4 is just the start of the end of the forerunner flood war. where both the forerunners and the timeless one have placed a bet on their people. mainly this may mean the timeless one may have died and have left his mission to another specie, like the forerunner left their mission for the humans to complete.

Perhaps not entirely the right place to be discussing a game being made by another studio.

Unless it is and we can hypothesise Battlefield 4.

Actually it is as maybe this topic is talking about the universe of halo which is sort of bungie universe, so it is allowed.
