I was reading my Halo: First Strike novel (great book BTW) and i thought that the part where Fred is protecting the Orbital MAC Gun generators with all his Spartans.
He orders some Spartans to go retrieve Admiral Whitcomb who is under pinned down with some marines. They take a Warthog or two and do that.
He orders some other Spartans to go out and secure a "Back Door" as their fallback point. They take a Warthog and clear any resistance there.
He takes Kelly and Joshua to go set of a football sized Nuke in the covenant ship. They take three banshees. (You could bend the rules of the book and go with them, Spartan 259.)
He orders the rest to defend the generators (Possible firefight map if firefight is in the game?)
Now You are in the middle of the bunker and are playing as 259. You choose which path you take but in the end you either follow Fred and Kelly to Castle base or escape somehow. There are people waiting for you to choose. Fred is twirling a combat knife in the corner and if you walk up to him and say "Press RB To Go With Fred". This would apply to all the other characters that are leading the different missions.
This of course would happen Later in the game and there would be other mission choices to make too. (Missions i would like included are: Rebel asteroid, Sigma Octavius 4, and other planets the Spartans fought on.)
As i wrote that part about Sigma Octavius 4 i thought you would have the choice to go with Red, Green, or Blue team.
