OK Listen, for all you Jackholes who dont read the full post listen up. I KNOW this has been asked before. I have used my best friend Mr. Searchbar but i can't find anything. So don't get on my case about it! So here it is:

1) What are the drop pods going to be?
2) How are they going to be used?
3) Will they be like the flying dumpster in Halo 3?
4) Will the be a respawn/spawn thing?
5) Will it just be a regular flying vehicle?
Please help!

Go Rams and Missouri!

You only drop in the very beginning of the game. You can look around, but you don't control it. It's pretty much just a cutscene.

The Flood Revolution is coming...

1) Pods that drop.
2) Transport that is dropped.
3) It's a drop pod.
4) It's a one time use.
5) It's a drop pod.

The drop pods are what the ODSTs use to drop to Earth/the surface of a planet. They drop from a ship hovering above said planet. You can't drive them/fly them whenever you like. They're used primarily to drop to the surface and nothing more. I think we'll just be inside of them in cutscenes. And no, they will not be like the flying dumpster. Not sure what would give you that idea.

You ask stupid questions, you get a plethora of stupid answers.

Well the word Drop is kind of a dead give-away...It DROPS down ONCE and can't be re-used (although in the books it is mentioned they have a store of fuel large enough for a "jump" to a new area but this will not be in-game)

I tried...

1) They are big metal pods that ODST's fall from space in
2) The ship drops you and you look out the window as the EMP hits you, then you crash
3) Nothing like it I think
4) I bet in the campaign you drop in a pod to spawn... or not
5) You can't get in it again. Its a one time use.

And this one is completely serious.

He probably did but those first few lines don't cover stupid questions, only "Search Bar" answers.

I DID! And I can clearly see it is just an insult to people who may not read it. Your entire paragraph had nothing to do with the 5 simple questions you answered. How dense are you?

when i heard they were making ODST all i could think was "awesomeness would ensue!"

First of all they are large pod about 17 feet tall they are made of titanium-A, lead foil and ceramic skin. The skin burns away during the fall which helps the human inside from the heat. After the ceramic layer is gone the lead foil is there so that the armor doesnt tear away during the drop. Now after they have hit an altitude of 3000ft they deploy the chute which detaches a large panel of the top of the pod when they hit an altitude of 50ft the computer starts breaking rockets that slow down the pod more. When it hits it can crash through practically any surface except for a small chance of landing on a reinforced roof which should be able to hold the pod. The pods can hold a large amount of supplies such as weapons, food, ammo, and a radio. The captains pod holds alot of equipment such as imaging equipment and infrared scopes for better surveillance. it also holds a small amount of extra rocket fuel in case you land in a different area then you should. it can also if nothing else is in the pod hold a mongoose or small nuke bomb.

Thanks Halopedia for the info I needed!
