There are many aspects of Halo:CE,both in campaign and multiplayer, that have grabbed and held our attention, even after all these years. However, the levels presented in Halo:CE are fairly complicated, and there are many interesting elements of the campaign and multiplayer levels that went unnoticed when we first played through them. What are some aspects of the Halo:CE experience that you didn't notice the first time you played it?You can list elements of both the campaign and multiplayer.Any input is appreciated.Fire away!

Campaign:I never noticed the Banshee on the platform affixed to the cliff face on the level Assault on the Control Room

Multiplayer:I never noticed the small, portlike windows on the sides of the bases at Battle Creek.I'm glad i eventually did however,as many a killtacular was had by tossing in a grenade when faced with cagey defenders.

Campaign: Didn't notice the bodies scattered outside the structure and way back toward the start in 343 Guilty Spark if you go back up the first lift.

Multiplayer: Active Camoflouge on Boarding Action.

I never noticed that there were frag grenades in the eating area where you first fight the Covenant.

You say tomato; I say potato.

What makes a game interesting is the things you discover after each play through. I've played through Halo many, many times, and there are so many things that I discovered after the first go round.

Food nipple grunt
Armless flood buddies
The quicker way to driver through the Maw
The weak spot on the hunter
There are too many to list.

The one right after you get the Scorpion ? Left side ? If that's the one, it can be brought down for use by an RL. Stand on the smallish hill directly outside of the cave exit. Aim w. sniper, switch to RL & fire. It's a 1 in 10 type thing, though.

Missed so much the first (through tenth) time, is hard to even narrow it down.

Yeah, you have to hit right in the centre of the platform or it won't work.

I definitely didn't know the sniper had night vision. It took me awhile to figure that out.

Been playing Halo: CE since it first came out, only recently noticed on the level "The Silent Cartographer", there's a cave that goes down to the beach near the outside of the building the Cartographer is located in.

I would take that every time I went up there to try and splatter as many hapless Covenant as I could.

On "Assault on The Control Room", there are more ways to get to The Core other than using a banshee.

Proud tester of the Halo 3 beta.

I remember playing through 343 GS for the third time or so, and the marines at the end of the level were waiting for me! I had never seen marines on 343 GS before!

Too bad they suck at fighting the Flood though.

Actually, I find that I'm more invincible without pants, which is why I am not wearing any at the moment.

I love that cave! If you get out of the hog in the right spots you can use it as a shield from the hunter fuel rod cannons. Makes for ambushing the strolling elite with a plasma grenade that much more possible. When I play melee and grenades only that cave is an absolute requirement to get those elites and grunts with a few well placed plasma tosses. Then I can go out and melee the rest of the herd of jackals and hunters.

These are some great answers! I myself have a new one:I never noticed the Marines standing in the canyon below the first bridge you encounter on AOtCR.The Marine bots are just standing there waiting for you to trigger a checkpoint and begin their fight with the covenant.I also never noticed the small rock outcroppings, jutting out from the pinnacle of the hollowed out cavelike area (AoTCR,after you fight the covenant guarding the artificial doorway). You can only reach them via the use of the Banshee you can procure early on,but they make for excellent sniping perches.I also never noticed the Hunter corpse in the vicinity of the medpack (the one in the small area in front of the artificial door. Finally,it was only on my second playthrough of the AoTCR level that I noticed the Wraith atop the small,terrace-like area above the artificial doorway. The first time I went through that area,i thought:what's shooting at me?Its a blast attempting to use the tank's main cannon to nail the perfect shot on said Wraith, however.

Got Banshee and Sniper Rifle? You have to fly around, there are a ton of good sniping spots to be had from waaaaaaaaaaaaay on up! It is no more difficult to take out the covies from way out, but it is fun to see those big numbers on the range finder!

You want a bigger challenge for taking out the platformed wraith? Try taking it out with plasma pistol fire!

That ledge is also home to the floating trees!

I can just imagine attempting to dispatch a Behemoth such as that with only plasma pistol fire.*Imagines*,*flashes to a burly Spartan firing up at a Wraith with a small plasma pistol* Me:*zzt zzt* Darn it! I'm out of ammuntion again! You,Grunt! *view flashes to watching a scared Grunt jump up from his position* Grunt:Ye-Yes s-s-sir? Me:Get me another one of these! And some Whiskey! Grunt:Y-Yes sir! *Grunt runs off but is immidiately killed by an ethereal Wraith projectile*Me:Oh,for the love of God! *flashes back to the present* "Yeah,i don't know man.

Just kidding.I've gotten a lot of mileage with my trusty sniper rifle. Those ledges on AOtCR were really something. Those elites didn't know what hit them, that's for sure!

Owners of the Katana: A place for those who have a Katana or over 1000GS in Halo 3.

Somewhere out there... in an alternate reality... Marty decided to stay in the ad jingle business, bringing about an age of amazingly orchestrated Pampers commercials.

I think I was the only one who didn't find the crack to continue in the beginning Silent Cartographer and kept driving in circles around the level looking for a place to go. Eventually, I just looked up a guide. :P

Sounds like a bunch of Justin Bieber wannabes in here. I bet you all wear skinny jeans too.

I didn't realize that the island in the Silent Cartographer was so small and you could circle around it, I didn't realize that the flood infection forms nibbled on you if you lost your shields, I didn't notice that marines can't drive you around, I didn't notice that Sargent Johnson existed (I didn't figure that out until Halo 2.)

if you send your hog into a 360 before launching off any edge you will always land on your wheels and not flip. also the double beatdown grenade throwing glitch.

Totally embarrassing, but I don't think I even realized the Scorpion had a machine gun on my first run through.
