hey guys, i used to play xbc constantly till the new update came out (neXBC). My gamertag was riverscuomo maybe some of you remember me, probably not though. It worked perfect before the update, but now... im so sad and upset because it doesnt work. Halo 2 on xbox live has been tiding me over for awhile, but i get very sick of it very often and wish i could play halo 1 over xbc again. If any of you care enough to take the time to help a brother out and get another player on xbc, please do so, i would GREATLY appreciate it.
Here's what happens: Well first of all i want to say that my xbc is weird now too. I thought it might be good to uninstall xbc for i installed nexbc, but when i go to remove the program, windowns doesnt allow me to do anything along the lines of deleting or uninstalling it. (?) ANYWAYS, that is not the main problem.
When i go to update to neXBC, i download the installer and everything is good. I go to run the installer, and it works perfect until about 9/10 of the way through, at that point, my internet connection is lost. The download finishes, but now i cannot access the internet through ANY program. Not internet explorer, not AIM, and neXBC obviously informs me that i cannot connect to the master server. I have one clue to the problem. When the internet connection goes out, my roadrunner pops a window up and says I have a TCP/IP error. I dont know what to do with that.
Heres what i HAVE done.
1) performed a system restore, in hopes to regain my interent connection. When i do this, i do regain the connection, but the neXBC application is lost for some reason.
2) making new rules again in all the firewalls for neXBC.
3)I have tried turning off all of my firewalls when i download the program. that doesnt work.
So, in conclusion, the main problem has something to do with neXBC creating a TCP/IP in my computor, which I have no idea how to fix. Please help me if you can. I will be forever in your debt.
