I for one am gutted that I can no longer find my disc of Halo 2. I found the multiplayer map pack dosc but no Halo 2. None of my local games retailers stock original xbox games and I would love to get Halo 2 as I have since gotten Xbox live. The amount of custom games I must have played on it has to be a few thousand.

So, would you like to see Halo 2 go up on the Xbox Live Marketplace?

I know I would.

Question is: Would you?

This is the average H2 Fanboy.

50 in H2/H3? Great, but you still fail at this.

Yes, as more people could play it online.
Also, amazon still has halo 2 xbox in stock.

Exactly, allowing it to grace the 360 would really boost it's population.

Alas, online shopping is something I stay away from as I have no credit cards (or 3v cards for those who know the service).

If it was on Xbox Originals, it'd really boost it's popularity, and the amount of players that play it.

Also, if enough sign, Micro$oft'll do it, it's money making after all.

Is there any downside to this though?

Any reason why they shouldn't do it?

Exalted is considered "the highest" because you can't get any bans or warnings of any kind for quite a long time, which is harder than just being a member for a long time.

Just to play devil's advocate...

More than likely it will be a straight port, meaning nothing will change in the game.

IE - it will still not be compatible with the 360 dash, we will still have the 100 friend limit and any glitch that you don't like will still exist.

Someone had the idea of porting the Vista version instead... I have no clue if that is even possible.

Good point indeed. All the MM glitch's.

Someone might need to patch it first but I would be ok about not having the dashboard compatability.

Halo 2 Vista is weird that way. It is the only pc game I am aware of that can earn you Gamerscore and has almost full integration with the dashboard. The online multiplayer was atrocious mind you.

They should definitely add Halo 2 to the marketplace It deserves it! After all it was and still is the most selling game for the original xbox! I also would have liked to see Halo 1 with multiplayer in it... They should have definitely did that when they ported it to the xbox marketplace...

Yeah it is, I have two copies of halo 2. One collectors and one regular, and I would still buy it from the marketplace!

What was different about the MP of the Vista game? I never played it, just curious as to what could make it so bad.

The unbelievable amounts of lag. You have people joining and quitting every two minutes and I have yet to play a game without a nonplayable amount of lag.

It should indeed, it would boost the Halo 2 population.
